Well, it's certainly a character building day out there! It's a real blizzard now and I had to go out and lug wood. The wind whipped my hat right off and out behind the barn! I think I'll stay in the rest of the day - to **** with my overdue library books!

Good Morning Everyone!
Well it's almost afternoon now. I think it is snowing everywhere. Here in Maine I woke up to about 10". Oh boy. Hubby is out snowblowing so he can go to work in an hour. He had a delay, which was nice cause we got to sleep in. Well today is day 2 of my new way of eating. Last night for dinner we had the taco bake someone posted in the recipe section and tonight we are having balsamic chicken. Sounds yummy. I'm doing well so far, it's the time between lunch and dinner thats the worst I think. Thats when I always grap junk to eat. But the sugar free jello seems to be doing the trick, and I had some decaf too. That held me over yesterday. So, I hope everyone has a wonderful day and don't get snowed in!

I'm back!

Driving wasn't too bad. Not sure why they had a snow day. Sometimes I think schools just do it on purpose because they had so many days set aside they haven't used yet. Kudos to the plow guys who must have worked non-stop for the past 48 hours to keep the roads in decent shape. I swore that I would never be one of those people who had a SUV with 4 x 4 but today I'm glad I have a little tiny 4x4. Not a Hummer!

Went to the Chiropracter this am. Starting to feel better after the fall on the ice. He said my hips were twisted so he is working to straighten them out.

I'm feeling pretty good for day 2 of phase I. I must not have had too much sugar over the weekend.

Ellis - Good luck at the Doc. I'm waiting for my new "self - insurance" to kick in on March 22 and then I have to go for a physical. Not lookin forward to it. At least my weight will be down.

Bami - See you poked the Bear and got a few snow flakes. I told you to be careful. I'm picturing you as the Michelin Man. Pack hot coffee in a thermos.

Ruth - I'm feeling your winter pain. Stay inside and stay warm! Where are all those neighbor guys when you need them to carry wood?

2nd chance - YEAH As you can tell we are a little low on motivation around here so YOU GO GIRL! I'm insprired!

cottagebythesea - Can you send your neighbor over to my house? The plow guy must have come at midnight last night and now it is all snowed over again!

Little chick - enjoy your day!

Mama - Glad to see you peck in last night. Please be careful - Don't over do it! Take care of yourself.

tazcat - way to go! No wine for me last night either!

Hunny, Barb, Amblyn, Soon2bfab, Raneysmom -

PS - Phase I is much easier this time. The first time I found it very overwhelming - maybe it is less so because I'm used to the food. Who knows. The only problem is that I'm hungry!

Just stopping by to say hello. I've been MIA for quite a long time. There are so many new names on the thread. I read now and again. Hi to Ellis, Ruth, Bamiegirl, and Little Chick. I think you will remember who I am, and to all of the rest of you SB gals, so glad you are doing so well.

Hope your physical turns out well Ellis. That is something we don't want to put off.

Ruthie: Just stay in and have some lovely tea and read and have a great day. You can use the snowstorm as an excuse for those library books. And I'm sure the fee will not be so exhorbitant, that it will be better to pay up than take a chance on the roads.

Reading about all this snow, makes me happier than ever to be right here in Florida. We have had a cool winter, but no snow. : I can handle cool temps.

I have been working diligently to keep off the weight I lost while in the hospital, but somehow 5lbs has found it's way back. I'm just sticking to Phase 2 as I don't do Phase 1 very well. But now am able to exercise, am going back to Curves, and I walk every day also. That ought to count for something and I hope will help me get back down to where I want to be.

Keep up the good work everyone. And Ruthie -Hope you get your skinny LCD monitor.

Default Hiya

Wow, snow must have hit everywhere! Woke up to about 8 inches here....I didn't need that, I'm ready for spring.

Sounds like you all are doing great with SB, hanging in there. I'm with Ruth and Ellis.....let's get with it....swimsuits are hanging out in the stores!

Hi Everyone! Can I jump in here?? Only been on SB since Sunday but so far so good! Reading all about your successes only gives me encouragement!! I hope that I'll be able to keep up with you all I've been kinda bouncing around these forums for a week or so now and can't seem to find one to keep up with! If you don't mind can I post here??

A little about me: my name is Jan and I live in SE Michigan and yes we got snow too today!! Divorced, 53 and have a wonderful BF of 5 yrs and a 26 yr old daughter who moved out in November of last year. I work in the medical insurance field and need to lose 40 lbs. I lost 30lbs last year at WW but needed a break then gained back 9lbs!! SB seems "doable" for the long haul.

I'd love to hear some "sample menus" to see if I'm doing it right.

Looking forward to becoming a "beach bum" Jan
