I started at 270 and am now at 202. I started on South Beach last January 17th. I still have about 50 to lose (if I decide to keep my current final goal). The weight loss has slowed down quite a bit during the last several months for me, although, I have not stopped losing completely.
I may reassess my final goal after losing another 20 pounds or so. There's a fitness lab at the local university that will do a complete body workup to determine my percentage body fat and muscle mass. I think I'll go there and have that done around the 180 mark to decide whether 150 pounds is still a good final goal for me.
