  • This first week was though for me. I had lots of cravings and it probably was because I wasn't moving too much. The neck is better now, I can move and bend now without pain, during the day the neck gets a little sore but nothing to worry. Last night the boys wanted spaghetti and shrimp for dinner. At dinner time I served everyone including myself the pasta and in the middle of my dinner I realized I was going to eat zoodles with mine

    Beth19, enjoy your dinner tomorrow!

jenne1017, welcome back. Would you be doing PH1?

Hope eveyone is having a great weekend and happy Easter!
  • Happy Easter! The bunny missed my house because the dogs scared him away with barking around 3 a.m. I got up too late to catch him but it's just as well since the Syrup Festival and Friday's dinner party have put me up to 180 again. This not-blushing bride needs to get her head and body together soon.

Nice to see our Jenne back and also Muffin, our latest Beach Babe. Having new and but enthused folk here should help me get on track. I am ordering my wedding dress this week and will keep my fingers crossed re the size. Not white, of course, but turquoise and kind of floaty. Bruce and I are slowly cobbling together our guest list. The whole village wants to be at the wedding but we sure don't want 500 at the reception.

One more loaf of sammies to make for the syrup festival workers and then a coffee cake for the 8 a.m. pre-Church breakfast and then Church followed by a shift working the Syrup Festival. We're hoping for fewer people today because yesterday we ran out of oil and are nearly out of pancake mix! Rain is on the menu for today so the crowds should be less! Tomorrow the Hyper Pypers arrive for Easter Dinner. A crazy weekend!

Enjoy your day, whatever it brings.
  • Happy Easter everyone. Looks like a nice day here. Hopefully it will be nice in your neck of the woods too.

Jenne you should feel really proud of yourself. Keeping off 60 pounds with everything you have going on in life is truly inspiring. Glad to see you back here

Isa P1 can be draining as we detox (loosely stated) from all sugar and unhealthy carbs. We are having real lasagna today which I know is going to be an issue for me. I do not too many foods with either white flour or gluten. I'm not allergic but I seem to have issues when I do. I am planning on actually weighing mine to make sure my serving size is correct. DS and I are actually sharing a dessert which we picked together (its a vanilla mousse egg) not very large. It's all about balance. Glad your neck is feeling better

Ruth I couldn't even imagine a wedding reception with 500 people!!!!! You are certainly loved by your community I too get motivated when we have new chicks join. Especially this time of the year. My first day on SB was the day after Easter in 2012 (I think).

Today we are staying home just me and DS which is nice. We are going to get the patio set cleaned up (he does not know that yet lol) We are supposed to hit 82 and may go for a run later too (he will run I will woggle) A morning ride is planned for me as he is sleeping. I booked the room at a local diner in town Saturday evening for a little send off for DS. His buddy is the manager so he wanted it there so his buddy could come. Not my idea of a place to hold a party but with short notice it works out well. We picked the menu last night. DS was funny he asked if we should include a vegetarian / healthy option. Good kid looking out. I'll order the cake on Monday or Tuesday from his favorite bakery. He invited 42 people so he should have a good send off. IMHO I am being a really good sport and invited his dad and his extended family. Thankfully my tax refund will cover this splurge. I can't believe he leaves in 8 days!!! Going to be lonely here. The hardest part for me will be only hearing from him on Sundays once they earn phone privileges. Enough sulking, time for more coffee.

    Happy Easter and safe travels.
  • Good morning!

Happy Easter everyone! It's my time to head into work. I am sure it will be a busy one. Enjoy your day whatever it includes!
  • Debbie I hope people are extra kind and generous to you today! Happy Easter
  • Happy Easter!

We went to church early this morning, the boys are teens now so no egg hunt for them, we just got them their favorite chocolate bunny and some Easter marshmallows We are home now and DH and DS2 are grilling, we are spending the rest of the day home.

Jennifer- I also have issues when I ate wheat and certain carbs, I'm not intolerant but I think I do have a sensitivity to them. Sugar detox is hard, last year I was sugar free for 3 months and I remember the first two weeks were super hard and I also remember having lots of headaches. For me the key is to keep myself busy and that was my problem this past week. Enjoy your dinner and dessert and have a wonderful day!
