Good morning my little chickadees

Okie - I am glad you are still happily moving along on SB. Weekend... yay!

Kara - Enjoy your online time with Tom. Sleeping in... I can never get my body to cooperate. Cudos to Connor!

Cat - I love when I work hard enough to sweat!

Linda - You sound busy today. I have been ignoring my niggles for a long time now. Someday soon.

Ruth - LOL picturing you as a redneck. That wedding bit is a teaser for us newbies.

Cyndi - Your weekend plans sound lovely. Your cats and birds remind me... my 80 year old friend, who is in a small apartment, can only fit a small Christmas tree. She covers it with cat ornaments and one bird ornament for them all to drool over.

MJ - You sound very tactful. I hope you have supportive parents.

Mmc - Your plan to wait to weight sound smart. You are much more patient than I am!

Heidi - I'm so sorry to hear about your family members being unwell. I have empathy with the shell shocked feeling right now. I will keep you all in my thoughts.

Twynn - Happy vacation!!! Here's more giggles for you sonI had crack slaw yesterday too. Yum. I hope your trip goes well.

Chelby - Yellow Apple is an interesting term for it.

Yesterday in the midst of all the craziness I did not get to yoga but I took two walks outside. In the warmth and sunshine! Woo hoo. (One time I spent most of it on the phone, but that was okay.) DH and I would love to ride bikes since the weather should hold but I hesitate in case my mom calls and needs me. Hard to talk on the phone while holding handlebars. Funny how I am just craving exercise with all this stress going on.

Good Morning

Okie, I'm always glad to hear from you when I check in early. I think it's really great that you're not obsessed with the scale. It's been one of my blessings this time around. If you're eating OP the weight come off and you know it just takes time! I understand how it is too have different sleep cycles than the rest of the world. I do my best, and sometimes do like you did the other day-sleep for 12-14 hours. I feel like you do the best you can, too.

Heidi, I'm so sorry to hear your Dad and Fergie's Mom have both had another downturn with their health. I am happy for you to have your own health/food issues on the positive side while all these things are happening which are so out of your control. Take care, friend, and be safe if you choose to drive tonight.

Kara, I looked to see if you had another chalked up! You do, congrats and I'm glad you have an easy day planned tomorrow. Kudos to Conner, too!

Cat, it's always nice to hear from you during the week but sorry you had to miss the gym!

Linda, your ability to stay cheery during messy house moments inspires me. I hope you're enjoying your coffee with your chores this morning.

Ruth, I can arrange a scruffy old hound dog and probably even an old p/u seat The cherry table sounds beautiful although I'd be a bit nervous with it being outside. I looked-no bingo today-enjoy!

Cyndi, enjoy your catch up day while you anticipate your weekend birding. It's so good to hear DW has increased her fitness level.

Lauren, I hope you think of something fun inbetween your report cards this weekend.

Mmc, it sounds like a busy day for you and a great weekend planned. A holistic nutritionist sounds like a very good idea-as does not weighing in today.

Twynn, enjoy your day, although I'm sure it will be very busy. What a blessing to get to step out of your cold weather for a bit.

Chelby, oops, sorry you have to go to school with Auston today. Plan ahead for your weekend food and remember Florida...don't let the stressful stuff get in the way of your success!

Me, totally amazed how we "cyclone" our way through our house when we're here. We got here Tuesday, were gone all day yesterday, and it looks like someone came in while we were away and churned up a mess. Potted plant spilled on the floor in the laundry room, pile of clean laundry in the tv room, Bing peed in the living room last night, a huge pot of chicken soup stock needing a sort....where to start?? Here, with coffee. I'm going to start the whirlwind cleanup tour very soon because...

I'm going skiing today!!! Yesterday was super fun and super busy. We met Mom and Sis at Sherpa House for lunch, saw Kirks DR, went to Costco, got a call that my Moms fav BBall player was signing autographs, met everyone for dinner and hit numerous thrift stores and REI's to put my ski outfit together. Sis and I are going to give a go at the local area, after I visit the chiropractor. The funny thing yesterday, is that I got this autograph from my Mom's favorite Nuggets player, which she promptly grabbed from me when I showed it to her. She wanted it, and I said (jokingly) I'd trade her for an old Navajo pawn necklace that I've wanted for years-she agreed(??!!)-and we both seem to be happy with the "trade".

Have a great day everyone! to everyone I'll miss later..

Hi Karen-missed you in the simulpost. I'm glad to hear you're thinking about exercise-I think it's a good sign. I'm always on call with my Mom, so when I ride my bike I always have my cell. There are many times I stop and take a moment to call her back. Take care today, as you move through your stressful situation.

Morning chickies -

I didn't plan my day and now I feel like I am scrambling. I was looking at breakfast options and see two juice joint places nearby but don't want to go the juice route nor the Starbucks route. Grrrrr. I hate having worked late last night!!!

I think I may have some veggies and hummus in the work fridge...now to think about lunch. Oh and my darn spaghetti squash, after 2 weeks, went bad so last night I had another quesedilla. Grrrr. Just call me Angry Jenn today.

to all

Michelle, I think it's admirable that you had Auston apologize. I do that with Connor as well. In fact, Wednesday night he had to apologize to the acolyte coordinator, the pastor, and the lector at church because he was not behaving himself when he was supposed to be acolyting.

Karen, I find that exercise helps a LOT with stress. Everybody always used to ask me in high school why I was so happy all the time and I would tell them it was because I had the vault! Running fast and pounding on that springboard helps get rid of a lot of stress!

Debbie, I've been 100% on plan since before Tom left, and once he left I started calorie cycling. I want to look my best when my man gets home!

Rose, hope your morning goes smoothly!

Jenn, sorry about the crazy day. One minute at a time and you'll be through in no time flat!

I just found out that a local church is playing the new Veggie Tales movie tonight so I'm surprising the kids and taking them. They are going to be SO excited!

Good morning, everyone. I tried to get here before work, but as I was walking to the computer, I noticed that the bed wasn't made, towels were on the floor, the bathroom counters needed to be wiped down and etc. Long story short, in spite of waking up early, I still barely made it to work on time.

I've been doing well on P1, with just two small slip-ups so far. I'm feeling great and have lots of energy, but I also feel like I have a cold coming on, so that's not good. I'm going to stay optimistic that it's just allergies.

Well, off to work I go! Lots of paperwork today, so I doubt I'll be back. See you this weekend!

lol Chelby, that made me laugh!

So I made a cup of coffee, read through the threads and decided I'm not angry anymore. I ate my veggies and hummus for breakfast (as coworkers came in with their potatoes and bacon and said, "Oh Jenn, I hate you! You're so healthy!") and have decided to try the Vegan/Veggie/Closest thing to it around here Joint for lunch. Any suggestions? I was thinking AJ’s Own Wrap or the Roasted Portabello & Red Pepper Wrap assuming I can get a whole wheat wrap.

I also decided to leave ON TIME tonight and head to Whole Foods to satiate my craving for salmon and pick some up for dinner.

Oh and a NSV for me last night/today? I am finding it easier to walk up the Metro escalators as of late! Even the giant one at my home stop (I will try and grab a picture of it tonight)! I used to always stand and not walk up because of the silly pressure to climb the stairs quickly (Here on escalators it's standers to the right and walkers on the left). But now I'm even keeping up with the military folk!

Enjoyed everyone's posts. Today I am buying car insurance. I haven't driven for 6 years and the insurance companies are calculating me as a new driver ($3,000 to $4,000 a year yikes!) Just bought a 2006 toyota corolla. One model that hasn't been recalled.

Will be looking forward to the weekend in New Jersey. Supposed to be sunny for two days in a row and temperatures up to 55 degrees. I am going tomorrow to Red Bank just to walk around. Look at the antique shops and the thrift store.

Have a great day everyone--glad your here.

Good morning, all.. I'm not really awake yet so please bear with my post if it gets a little odd. The coffee hasn't kicked in yet. lol

Okie - Very glad you got some sleep! Hope that you can work up to an 8 hour interval. Sleep is my favorite. lol

Kara - awww a skype date! that's awesome! and nice too that you can wind down with less to do today and tomorrow. yay for relaxation! it's good for the soul and WOW about Connor's math abilities! That is really cool!

Cat - Woo! Zumba! Definitely tell us how those go. I'm planning to start classes at the YMCA in the next couple of weeks. I've seen a live demonstration plus vids on youtube and it just looks soooo fun!

Cottage - Sounds like you have a lot of things to do today. I'm noticing how busy EVERYONE seems to be.. and yet you all seem to get your exercise in. I hope I have the motivation to do that. You all certainly are inspiration. Have a good wii-fit workout!

Ruth - Sounds nice to sit outside... I LOVE that morning ritual for myself in the spring and summer. Except this year I am a non smoker. I hope I don't crave too badly from the 'ritual' of smoking and having coffee on the deck. Your new dining table in CHERRY! Love love love cherry. I'm sure you'll be very excited to get the new table IN the house!

Cyndi - your weekend sounds wonderful! Birds are interesting creatures. I've just started watching them more in the last few years. For living where I do right now... I still have a good mixture of bird types. I also pay attention to the symbolism of the bird types in my life at different times. What is your favorite bird?

Lauren - hahaha... love the way you "word" things for the parents. too funny. the thought of 24 kindergarteners makes me tired. oh the patience you must have!

Mmck - sounds like you have a couple nice little getaways planned! have a good time!

Heidi - Lots of hugs your way.

Twynn - Enjoy your vacation! I'm sure your parents will be very happy to see you and DS, DD.

Chelby - Whats a yellow apple? After going to see the teacher, I hope your day is much brighter!

Karen - there just is something about exercise that purges negativity, don't you think?

Debbie - haha you crack me up! I was completely visualizing you 'cycloning' through the house.

Pearlrose - Hi! Bye! have a great day! LOL

The chick formerly known as Angry Jenn - glad you aren't angry anymore. happy Friday! tee hee

Kim - aww, sorry to hear you're coming down with a cold. Stay strong on P1.. and if you think you're gettin sick, make up a batch of chili or other p1 thick soup. Total comfort food and still on plan! Get well soon!

Sharon - holy moly thats expensive car insurance! Shopping sounds fun, though! Browsing and/or buying always makes me feel a little better lol

Me -- wow i think it took me an hour to read through all that and get everyone's personals done! But it's nice because I get to know you all a little better in the process.

Last night karaoke idol was insane. It's a long story but it has turned into Karaoke Survivor ... I'm sure you can imagine the shenanigans going on just based on the "name change" lol The 80's music and dress was awesome though. We had a GREAT time despite the drama.

Yesterday I saw my psychiatrist and we changed my meds (because my insurance won't cover the one I'm on). I'm scared to change it up because this is the ONLY one thats ever worked for me. Plus what he put me on apparently causes weight gain by slowing the metabolism. I told him if my metabolism gets any slower it's going to fall asleep. He said I can combat some of it by diligently exercising and eating right... so there's just ANOTHER reason to stay on track.

I hope to come to terms with it all as the weight comes off and I get into a work out routine... but right now I'm really, really worried to gain any more weight. I SUCK at real long term discipline and at this point, I don't see a choice but I'm still worried I'll mess up. So I will definitely have to be around here all the time for the support you all give... and to keep me honest and motivated.

Today I think I will be taking my financial application to the YMCA so hopefully soon I can start working out there and zumba-ing!

Have a blessed and on plan day!

Hello Everyone!

Okie: Wow I am amazed at how you get by on so little sleep. I couldn't do that.

Kara: Hope you enjoyed "skyping" w Tom.

Cat: Enjoy your Zumba.

Cottage: Good job taking care of those odds & ends though I'm sure you can think of better ways to spend a Friday.

Ruth: Your new dining room sounds nice. I would love to sit out on a porch but my apartment only affords a small balcony...not much sitting space.

Cyndi: Love, love watching the birds too. The jays always crack me up even if they are bullies. Our jays try to beat up on the neighbor's chickens!!!

Lauren: Bless you for your tact & ability to deal with kinderdgartners & their parents.

Mmck: Hope you have fun this weekend.

Heidi: Sry for the stress you're going theu w your parents right now.

Chelby: Hope your day gets better after the mtg @ school.

karen: Glad you're finding a good outlet to deal with your parental caretaker stress

Debbie: I love how you & your Mom made a trade..very cool

Jenn: Glad your day got better.

Kim: Sry you don't feel well. Heres hoping its only allergies.

Sharon: Love your avatar.

Kari: I hope your transition to your new med goes smoothly. I understand not wanting to be on a med that slows your metabolism. I used to take a med like that for my epilepsy but they later changed it. It was frustrating to be on a med the whole time that slowed me down but all I could do was control the factors, I could control. So just keep on doing what you're doing here to feel well.

As for myself, I just have chores and errands planned today. Yesterday was a total loss as I started feeling poorly midday & I just went back to bed. I did weigh myself this AM and my scale shows I am down 4lbs but I don't think thats entirely accurate as I was sick w stomach issues yesterday.

Have a Happy Friday everyone!!

Debbie - Busy! I hope you have fun skiing. REI here I come

Rose and Sophie - Hope you have a great day.

Jenn- Oh no... I better check on my own squash sitting there waiting for me. I refuse to call you by that name But I can hear your teeth grinding half way across the country! Just got to you second post. Glad your day is going better.

Kara - Veggie Tales. How will that be for you to sit though?

Kim - Sounds like things are going well. Do you ever take Airborn? I am not sure it keeps the cold away but have been dosing myself the last few days and feel better.

Sharon - We own two Toyotas. (One is my college son's.) Now DH is thinking we should buy another because he thinks the prices on new ones will plummet. Have fun this weekend. BTW - my son is very close to NJ at the edge of PA. Nice to know he will be getting better weather.

Kari - I can understand your worry. I know that hanging out here really does help me with motivation. Which is why you might see me so often

Sue - Sorry you weren't feeling well. But you must be doing better given your plans for the day.

I am back from BOSU class (since mom obviously could not make our usual Friday workout) and waiting for my crack slaw to digest a bit before I hit the bike. I think I will need sunscreen today!
