Dingo, this plan works very well if you commit yourself to it and follow the plan. We have many success stories and maintainers here on the forum. Starting off with a 100% clean Phase 1 is an important step to clearing out all the toxins and cravings from your body. You are somewhat restricted as to what you can eat, but there are plenty of delicious foods to choose from and keep you satisfied and happy. The transition to Phase 2 should go slowly, introducing whole grains and fruits into your daily menu a little at a time to see how your body reacts to them. After about 2 weeks of that, you can eat normally, as long as you stay away from processed foods, sugar and white flour, white pasta, white rice, etc. It doesn't really feel like a diet, just a healthier way of eating that you should follow the rest of your life.
