Default question about popcorn

I have a question about popcorn. When and if can we have it, and how much? I vaguely recall seeing that you can have low fat microwave popcorn, or popcorn popped on the stove with canola oil, but don't remember what phase and how much.

I am asking because Trader Joe's has two kinds of popcorn I have been eyeing - a low fat version (already prepared) and an organic olive oil version (also already prepared). I'm going to TJ's today...can I safely purchase? I'm on Phase 1.5.

You can have popcorn once you are in Phase 2, and 3 cups is considered a serving. Just make sure it doesn't have any butter on it. I like to spritz mine with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray.

Before you buy either of those popcorns at TJ's, Mmc, read the ingredients label to make sure there aren't any hidden sugars, butter, or other junk in there.

I've had the Trader Joe's variety and it was awesome. Maybe a little too awesome I quickly repackaged it in serving sized bags.

If the ingredients are just popcorn, olive oil and salt is that ok? I really like the olive oil version. 3 cups is a nice sized serving.

Yum! This thread really made my day! I'm still on phase one, but this gives me something to look forward to! And the serving size is pretty large!

Ok I know it sounds strange, but I like to pop popcorn via the stove then I add I can't believe its not butter spray and sprinkle HOT SAUCE over the top. Not too much hot sauce or you end up with soggy popcorn. But it is yummy. I love spicy stuff and this is one of my favorite snacks.

Tammie --not weird at all! I also like cayenne on it! I haven't had any in a while.

I take a brown paper bag, some kernals and pop in the micro myself...
