Linda: sounds like you have a great day planned. I love listening to old women tell stories of their childhood. fascinating!

Kara: Great job staying OP last night!

Ruth: I love little doggie bangs! I can't wait to get a puppy

Cyndi: Have fun snowshoeing. What a leg workout!

Twynn: Congratulations on the fun run this morning! A half marathon! What a great thing to strive for.

Lexxiss: I don't think we've met, but always nice to have a fellow knitter in the house. I have so many projects going right now.

FO: Congrats on the 5th day! Only a few more days left

Schmoo: I'm sure the kids love adopt-a-pony. I loved it when I was a kid It was a great way to spend time with the people I loved too!

Waisting time: I haven't been around for awhile, but when I was a newbie around here I found that just reading the daily chat helped me to kind of get a sense for who the other people were and fill in the blanks that their bios left. Welcome!

Jenne: Hope that tooth feels better soon!

Today is more of the same for me. Unpacking and trying to get things back to normal around here. I have got to go through the kids' rooms and declutter their toys. Maybe I'll give that job to DH.

I revamped the guest bath yesterday, just gave it a little facelift with a new curtain, towels and a rug. It looks nice and I much prefer the new curtain to the one that I had before.

DH is having a root-canal on Friday, so I need to find a sitter for the kids....preferably for the entire weekend DH is a big baby about stuff like this.

off to make breakfast...have a lovely day, ladies

good morning

Ruth - Disney with granddaughter is something to really look forward to
.
Cottage - glad you are having and easier day today

Twynn - I have been living with a kitchen renovation now for at least 5 years. DH is doing everything himself, all the cabinets are built from scratch and I have learned not to complain.

Debbie - Good that DH is giving you a lift. You certainly are devoted to your exercise and such a inspiration not to mention the knitting.

Cyndi - Enjoy your short week and have a good time tonight

Kara - Glad you were able to make it to the states and I am sure you are a comfort to your family.

Schmoodles - I too have sworn off the scale for a few months at least.
Have a pair of jeans that are too tight and they will be my gauge.

Foodobsessed - you are great, keep it up.

Waisting time - meal planning is an important thing to do.

Jenn - hope your pain goes way quickly.

me - have to vent. I never watch Biggest Loser but had time yesterday and watched maybe half an hour. So they get all these people excited that they will have help to lose weight. Now the first assignment is to ride a stationery bike for 26 miles. and the last ones will be out of the show. Some of these people are over 500lbs so get real. It was heartbreaking and after that I just turned the channel. Today I have a big list of grocery shopping and doing house work and maybe setting up my loom.
take care
Sophie

Sophie - tonight on Discovery Health they are showing a program about a man who lost the most weight ever on a reality tv weight loss show and gained it all back. Sounds like it might be interesting, and basically confirms your feelings.

Good morning, everyone. I'm just popping in this morning. I'm still battling a severe sinus headache, but I came into work today anyways. I may stay home after lunch depending on how I feel. I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!!

Hello chicks: just popping in to say hello. Feeling a little stressed out today. Don't even want to eat, although i did force myself to have a lettuce and tomatoe sandwhich. I had to go back for my mamogram recall, the redid it and then I had to have a ultra sound on my left breast. The Dr. said there is density there ( not sure what the really means) so I have to go back in 6 mos. I think I am going to make a call and go see my family Dr. cause I don't think I can stress out over this for 6 mos. Well got to go I have a million thing to catch up on since I was gone all morning.

Hi ladies,

Things are wild here today! My class is behaving wonderfully, (they really are a nice little bunch) but there are substitutes in the classrooms on either side of me and the ed tech is out sick today, too. I've been running back and forth trying to keep things running smoothly in all 3 rooms all morning.
The subs are doing a great job, but both are used to working with older kids.

No time to snowshoe today, monthly staff meeting this afternoon and it will be dark by the time I get home. I had a really great time yesterday though, and one of my colleagues is planning to bring her daughter's snowshoes to school tomorrow and try them out. I'm looking forward to the company, and hoping she enjoys it as much as I do.

The recess bell just rang. I'm out of time already, so no time for personals today. As always, I really enjoyed reading your posts - I love this thread.

Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday friends!

Littlechick, do not stress. I have to have an ultrasound every time I have a mammo b/c my breasts are so dense. If they did the u/s and you were not called back for anything do not stress on it. They probably did the u/s because on the mammo a mass or something appeared - an u/s tells them whether the mass is solid or just a liquid cyst. From what you say it sounds like the u/s indicates it is a simple liquid cyst and they just want to follow up in 6 months to see if it is still there. If they had any doubts after the u/s they would have called you back for a needle biopsy. Been there and done that. Not to worry.

Hi Zephy! Your Connor is so big! I can't believe it. Wasn't he just born last week???

Sophie, I'm sorry you were disappointed in the show. I don't watch that one religiously but I will not miss a Survivor or American Idol episode!

Susan, good job resisting the treats! One day at a time!

Kim, hope you feel better soon!

Heidi, think of all the calories you're burning running back and forth today!

LC, I'll be thinking about you today. Hope you can get in to see the family doc soon.

Rose, enjoy your snow!

I am back from lunch at my grandmother's and get a big fat F for staying on plan. On the bright side, I'd get an A+ for eating off plan! Actually, it wasn't that bad. She had made vegetable lasagna (with regular white flour noodles), green beans, corn, and salad. So the only bad thing about lunch was the noodles. Then she made apple pie with vanilla ice cream and put out Christmas cookies for dessert. Argh. I feel all lightheaded and dizzy now and I swear it's because of the sugar. But, I have a good attitude and I already have a great Beachy dinner planned - roasted butternut squash with onions and garlic and cheddar cheese, salad, whole wheat couscous, and fake chicken. And now I am going to run on the treadmill and then do a toning workout. I'm turnin' it around, girls.

Just popping in before bed!

Today we were snowbound. Schools all closed, too dangerous to try and reach a motorway so DH worked from home. Naturally, my fridge delivery has been postponed

Still, I stayed totally OP despite being hungry as there wasn't enough salady stuff for everyone to have a decent-sized lunch. Ho hum, I'm not hungry anymore so all's well that end's well.

And now I'm off to bed. Keep your fingers crossed that the roads aren't horrendously icy tomorrow!
