Good Morning girls... It's suppose to get near 40 so I am hoping to get the dogs for a walk today. I did take them yesterday to the woods. They ran like there was no tomorrow. But I was in pain and it was cold so we were only out there for ten to fifteen minutes.

((Rikki)) Sorry about your benefits. I sure hope thats not a sign of yet worse things to come, like layoffs! Not only am I out of work but 1500 people were laid off from Kodak in the area, with all-time highs in unemployment the job hunt is going to be tough here!

Zeff... apologize and move on. After all, you are a woman. Men just assume we are tempermental anyway, yet they choose to still love us!

Welcome Jenny, nice to make your acquaintance!

Ruth, I don't get excited about ground hogs day because I take it one day at a time... besides, who can trust the weathermen?

Cyndi, sorry you didn't get to see the gull.... have a safe trip home!

Have fun with the superbowl, whatever you decide pearlrose!

Welcome back Jen's mom! If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!

Barb, forget the shopping, soak in a tub and enjoy the time off!

that's me back in from mass and my weigh in! I lost 6 lbs which is almost half a stone

Ruth...you don't know the half of it. There are perfectly innocent words we use on the other side of the pond which have TOTALLY different meanings here...for example! Every year for thanksgiving, I do spreadsheet to get myself organised. A few years ago I called the spreadsheet operation gobble.

Apparently, 'gobble' has a VERY different meaning over here. A sexual one and that's as far as I'm going, let your imagination do the rest of the math. So imagine my husband's surprise while going through old computer files and finding operation gobble on the computer. We still laugh about it!

Thanks for the warm welcomes ladies...hope you're all havin a nice day!

I really need to get in to post sooner! I can't keep up
I'm back on the beachtowel and about to dive into either Eggs or oatmeal with flax and something! I went to TJs last night and snagged greek yogurt and eggs (all their eggs are now cage free) But I forgot agave! I want to try Not having splenda b/c It makes me eat (or that's my theory)
It's a cold sunny day here but I'm cozy in my robe and I've already gotten up off my butt to work out!
James saw Metallica last night (work guy had an extra ticket) So I had a ladies night with a gf who tends to be a bit negative. . .I got some guts and told her I didn't want to invite that into my life any more! so she was much better for the majority of the night than usual.
Ok Let me get some sustenance!
Have a Great day!

Morning all!!!! Happy Sunday Superbowl Day!!!!

Had a really nice dinner last night and I didn't do too bad, I had a little of the appetizer and dessert (which weren't on program) but dinner was totally on program, which was good. This morning I woke up and made some things for the Superbowl party that we're going to. And I made sure that there was plenty for me to choose from when we dig in. I was very excited that my produce store this week had red, orange, and yellow peppers on sale for 77cents each. I bought 6, but I think I'm going to go get some more and freeze them. Such a deal!!!!!
Well, I'm off to wash and blow dry the hair, a good 10+min. ordeal, before church. I hope everyone has a great day!!!!
ENJOY and BLESSINGS!!!!

STRAWBERRIES!!! Mountain Top (a local flea market) had a truck of strawberries! They are beautiful and delicious. I'm very sure I've eaten more than a serving today. I bought a flat for $10. Half of them will go in the freezer for smoothies. The other half are washed and on the counter for enjoying. The first taste of spring...

We're having a Superbowl party at my MIL's house. She made SB friendly dips and has veggies and WW crackers. I'm in charge of deviled eggs. Yum! I may make a small pot of black bean chili, too. I could care less about the game, but I'm excited about The Boss!

Zeff -- Blame your outburst on the Baby Blues. He can't argue.

Guys with work troubles -- Hang on! It HAS to get better.

I am going to get out and walk today and that's all there is to it. It's pretty nice out, so no excuse. I may even set an exercise goal for February and get to work on it.

I got some cleaning and laundry done this morning and I think I'll do some cooking this afternoon and some work. One thing I will NOT be doing is watching football. Ick.

Good job staying on plan Heather (mostly)! Enjoy your party.
And Kierie, good job driving off the negativity. maybe you will be a good influence on her! I don't see how anyone could stay negative around you.
Jenny, congrats, that's a pretty big stone! Thanks for the warning about gobble. Snogging is a word that always sounded to me much worse that what it actually means. I was appalled that JK Rowling had students snogging in the hallways of Hogwarts.
Thanks for the gorgeous picture Cyndi, and hello back to my favorite place. Do you feel all clean and shiny inside now?

Okay, that's the end of my personals, The little girl DD has over just puked everywhere. DD and DH reacted by running around like chickens with their heads cut off, yelling "Claire's puking!", but nobody thought to get her to the bathroom or hand her a bucket (which was on the counter right behind her). I will credit DH with jumping in and cleaning the kitchen floor and living room carpet up pretty well, but guess I'll go shampoo the carpet now. Poor thing, I just hope it's not a virus and we don't all get it.

Morning all. Will read this all tonight but wanted to say I made January GOAL!

Last night while everyone ate 2 pieces of red velvet ice cream cake, I had my SF Jello and Cool whip, seething that my body should recognize what I am NOT eating and lose the weight. And then I was down 2 pounds this morning!! YAY.

Happy SueprBowl all. In between commercials and eating, I will post. Heh.

Jenne, congratulations on losing 2 lbs! That really made it worth not caving in to the cake last night, didn't it!

Schmoodle, your poor DD! I hope now that she's puked it all out of her, that she starts feeling better and that she doesn't have a bug of some sort. Have fun shampooing your carpet!

Jenny, congratulations on the 6 lbs.!!!!!! That's a cute story about the "gobble" project! My imagination is running wild right now, LOL!

I'm not sure if Monica and family are coming out today, something came up and they make not be able to come. And I was really looking forward to a piece of that ice cream cake, too. Oh, well, at least now I won't have an excuse to go off-plan.

thanks for the support -- I'm pretty sure I could blame murder on the baby blues and get away with it.

I sent him a text while he was still at the place and apologized. He was fine when he got home.

Seriously, guys...how do I do this two kids thing? Carving out time to get food is hard let alone having time to do the dishes or clean the bathroom.

DH suggested calling my MIL...to which I promptly replied that I would gladly cut my arm off with a butter knife before admitting defeat to her. I would never hear the end of it!

I only have one, and can't imagine how busy you are with two -- and nursing! You are the woman!

As far as dishes and the bathroom -- do it as little as possible! Get paper plates. You healing and getting rest is way more important. Take care of YOU!

crap.

and I'm seriously considering adding a third.

right.

I just told DH that I was hungry, he said "me too..let's go out for dinner. The kitchen is a mess and I don't have the energy to deal with that right now".

Sounds good to me.

Chelby - the bathroom was abandoned long ago. The kitchen on the other hand, I'm out of everything. Good suggestion on the paper plates - for whatever reason, I didn't think of that! Now, if only they made disposable pans.

Hello all,
Have about a half a minute to jump on but I wanted to check in since it has been awhile. The bowl game starts in about 1/2 an hour and the family should be here soon. Won't tell you what is in my kitchen right now but it is one day then back to the beach. The kids all have friends over right now and the house is a rockin'. Well gotta go hoping for the "Birds" to fly high in the game!

Zeff - I raised three. You just have to realize that you can't keep up with the house the way you did before. As I told my daughter (who only has one) housework is secondary. Your duty right now is to bond with that child.
I never had any help until my youngest was 5 when my MIL moved to be closer to us and she was the type that always wanted to be useful so I just let her do whatever she wanted in my house, figured it was one less thing for me to do.

Me - feeling much better. Today was my DH birthday so from morning to night it was special meals. We have celebrated 44 of his birthdays together. My two sons were here too. I did make a warm three mushroom salad which would be very SBD friendly and it was also very elegant, will post it in the next few days.
