Morning ladies... ROUGH week. DH and I were sick last week.. and the kids are sick this week. My poor child can't get any rest at night because every time she lays down she fills up and starts coughing. So that means mama has been up all night this week too... averaging about 3 hours sleep a night. However all the running up and down the stairs all night is GREAT exercise. *rolling eyes*. Weight is going back down after a slight 4 pound gain.. not eating for a week then being able to eat again is NOT a good thing.
I'm going to slide back down to phase 1 on Monday to see if I can get rid of the cravings again. I'm doing really well with the eating but I'm craving sweets in a big way. *sigh*

Brenda, sorry your family has been ill. Once everyone is up to snuff a p1 to get rid of cravings is good, but you may not need the entire two weeks, usually just three or four days suffice!
Yesterday turned out to be a rather boisterous day. All the kids were here for supper, and we talked to Caitlyn via the webcam. Monica really wants me to go up next weekend for Family Weekend, and I'd love to go, but I just can't afford it right now. Especially after forking out $$$ to get my car tuned-up! Caite says it's just breathtaking up there right now.
I'm hoping to just take it easy today, and heat up leftovers for supper. The usual laundry must get done, but nothing else is pressing.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving turkey today, RUTH and SOPHIE!
Cottage, foilage is also very pretty here as well! And what a perfect day yesterday! Couldn't ask for better weather!
I just went to pet Jade and she showed her teeth to me, then submissive peed. When I let her outside she didn't want to go down the stairs at first, and seemed to have a hard time peeing when she finally did go down. When I felt her forhead she is warm to the touch. I fear she may not be feeling well. This behavior is not like her at all!
Speaking of car fixes, I got the money from the other driver's insurance yesterday to fix the light, but I don't have the money (the other 50%) right now. I have the mechanic shopping for a used one as he quoted a new one. I do have to get it fixed as I could get a ticket for broken tail light.
So I did Boot Camp last night, Denise Austins.... I think I'll have to do more upper body strengthening exercises outside of her sessions because I felt I needed more chest exercises.
Church this morning, then relaxing and then church tonight. Yesterday I watched the Movie Martin Luther (Again)... I love that movie! That guy reminds me what we are to be!
Had a nice Saturday. We decided to go to Baton Rouge and pick up my oldest son and go out to eat. There is a new Acme Oyster House in BR and we really enjoyed it. I got some raw oysters and some grilled shrimp that were outstanding. Then we visited with son and his roommate at their house. He moved in with his sister's best friend (a lawyer now) and it was great seeing her again. My daughter lived in the same house with her before moving to LA...so it was like "old home day". She needed a roommate and son needed to find a new house, so it was great. Her brother is my son's best friend, so it was great to see "family". All these kids grew up together. She is loving it cause Graham can fix just about anything and been repairing like crazy on the old house. She says it's like living with a neatnik little brother!
Afterwards we went to Wholefoods and stocked up on stuff I can't find locally. Got some gorgeous peaches that felt perfect. Got them home and they were "grainy". I was so dissapointed.
Spent the evening in my room doing my nails and watching a great Italian movie on the Sundance channel, then watched another one while my husband screamed at LSU.
Today will be house cleaning and lesson plans...yawn!!

Morning all. It is so warm here for Oct! We were at about 80 degrees yesterday... too warm for a nice cool fall day. Today we are heading to the pumpkin patch with my parents and my brother and his family. Looking forward to it!
We went to dinner last night with my sister-in-law and her husband. They told us they were expecting!! She is 12 weeks now. After years and years of failed attempts, infertility and finally being told she couldn't get pregnant they decided to go the adoption route. They were almost done with their paperwork getting ready to write the check when she found out she was pregnant! I am still in shock and beyond happy for them. I just had to share! Please pray for her that she has a safe and healthy pregnancy.
Jen - Thanks for sharing about your sister. Any stories like that give me hope
Good morning ladies! Yesterday after the USO I simply did laundry, laundry, and more laundry. We did go out to dinner @ the mom and pop place. I had soup and salad that was really tasty. And we finally finished the movie "Munich" that we had started watching months back and was on our DVR. Good movie, particularly if you like spy-like, historical drama. Today we've got church this morning, then we're meeting a friend for brunch and football. After that I'm grocery shopping and getting some baking done for the week. I'm making Berry-Orange-Oat muffins for breakfast this week and pumpkin bread for dessert. Should all be yummy.
Have a fantastic Sunday!!!!
ENJOY!!!
Been to Church - five dogs in the congregation today. Margo and Elaine are doing work outside and I'm about to stuff the turkey. Glenn and John will be up mid-afternoon - they had to finish the harvest this morning.
Missed you all but didn't dare try to log on at 28.8 I don't know who has the best foliage but I drove up and over the Green Mountains and through the Mohawk Valley and admired some incredible views all along.
Cottage - Great news about your Dad!
Kim -
Zeffryn - I've been thinking about you all weekend. Hope the move was relatively smooth and easy!
Cat - We should never, ever be in the same room - it could be dangerous My Mother nicknamed me Grace when I was young....
