Ruthxxx, good luck with the quilt making and apple drying!

Jandaman, yum cinnamon!

Belle Mer, get well soon!

Cottagebythesea, sending good vibes towards your dad. Sorry to hear about your relatives (I'm assuming) ear infection! That can't be fun.

CyndiM, also sending good vibes towards your DP. May she get well soon. Sounds like there might be a bug going around!

Schmoodle, I'm glad you heard from your DH! And have lots of fun on your vacation!

Zeffryn, oh my god. That definitely doesn't sound good. I don't understand why people don't have rights pertaining to that... that doesn't sound fair.

Loriann, ooh, tell me the brand names of those bras? Oh and that's disgusting about the 14 year old and 19 year old. My sister was 16 when a 27 year old starting having sex with her... now she's got 2 kids at 20 and is trapped in a miserable existence with him. At least you called the cops, kudos to you.

Gonnabe165, have a good day.

Junebug, CONGRATULATIONS!

Pacergal, sounds like it was a lovely relaxing morning!

Weezle, more good vibes going out your way. Good luck!

KO, Ace sounds like a really cute kitty name! In Great Britain, 'ace' is a slang term for 'really cool'.

USarchie, how are you doing?

Jenksi, I hope your DS is better soon!!! That doesn't sound so good!

Brenda, how are the twins?

I lost another lb so I'm down to 187, so that makes a total of 8lbs for September. I am very happy about it because I did horribly the first week or so of September, binging like all-get-out, but then I managed to turn it all around. If I lost 8 last month, then I can lose 10 lbs this month and that's my goal.

Plus I am considering getting Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and before then, starting my own form of circuit training (few minutes on the exercise bike, pushups on the floor, more minutes on the bike, abdominal work, and so on). I watched Biggest Loser last night and I was happy to see that Allison Sweeney (Sammi from DOOL) is hosting again. Wow, those people really work hard!

Mel congratson the 8!!
My mom was very careful with us and older guys when we were in HS I remember when my sis was 16/17 there was some 21 year old guy hanging around her friends
My Mom made clear he wasn't welcome which was good b/c he ended up assaulting one of her friends

so...apparently on the 25k in debts...our only option is to pay 18k on it? what the ****?

DH asked where the justice was in that...the lawyer said that it wasn't about justice. How so? Basically we can get robbed for 18,500 or a lot more than that.

This is so frustrating!

This is going to take forever to resolve. I've already filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and fraud reports with the reporting agencies.

I guess we're not going to be moving...

Mel- Congrats on the 8 lbs! I'm so proud of you!

KO, it's a very sad thing that stuff like that is so prevalent. Especially where I live, in the sticks/hicksville. 20 something year old guys don't usually want women their own age, they want high school girls. It's disturbing. So many teen pregnancies here, so many, and the fathers are always adults. It's rare here for there to be teen-teen pregnancies. It's always adult-teen pregnancies. Urgh. I wish I could do something about it. The cops often turn their heads the other way because a few of them have been rumored to convort about with 13 year olds and 17 year olds. Distressing.

Zeffryn, I would keep going higher up until you get some real help. Maybe the Attorney General or something? I don't know. That is ridiculous. There is no way you and DH should have to pay $18k back for something you didn't do.

There has to be some way to prove that. If some of that was spent at a gas station with cameras for example, couldn't the cops do their jobs and match up the dates on the credit reports with transactions at a store? I don't know, I may have been watching too much CSI. But I hate to think people can just get away with this.

Zeff, don't give up all hope just yet. There has to be more you can do to fight this.

I would think that too.

Unfortunately, the charges were months ago...and they weren't much different than our regular charges...so sifting through them has been rather, um, difficult.

Urgh, that really makes me angry. I hate injustice.

I saw on some news shows and a few talk shows, about the same thing happening to other people. Which is something we've all heard about and seen. The criminals were prosecuted though, they were found out somehow. Do the other Mr and Mrs Zeffryn have an address listed or did they list it as your address? Maybe there is some way to hunt them down.

Gonna, we will be there the 11th through 17th. When and where will you be down there?

Jenski, poor kid, hope the new doctor can do more to help him. That sounds so miserable. My kids have, um, "sensitive" digestive tracts, but not like that.

Mel, congrats on the 8 lbs! That's fabulous for the month. Don't think I'll ever see another 8 lb. month.

Gotta run some lunchtime errands, pick up the contacts I ordered, get my glasses tightened, try to find some capris for vaca, get some cheesecloth to make an "angel ghost" costume, buy a stick broom (I have had it with hauling that giant vacuum around all the time), woo-hoo, the excitement never ceases.

Oh, I went ahead and bought tickets for the WDW Halloween Party, and apparently I am allowed, no encouraged even to dress up and trick or treat with the kids. Who can pass up that opportunity? Now I gotta come up with a costume...

Thank you Schmoodle! I believe you'll see another 8lb month though. You can do it! Ooh, dressing up for Halloween sounds fun honestly. Maybe when DS gets older I can do the same.

Gotta go brown beef cubes for the stew I'm gonna simmer all day. Have a good day everyone.

Wow, exceptionally talky in here today, chickies! Busy, busy day, so this is a quick flyby!

Hope everyone who's sick feels better soon, especially your loved ones.

Zeff, hope the identity thing is fixed soon. How scary! I understand how it's hard to believe anyone about this stuff, but the fact that your son is supposedly trying to open credit card accounts and the fact that your current credit history is good (paying in full, etc.) should help, I'd think.

Congrats on the results of your hard work, Junebug!

Jenski, that's a mess! I hope you can find out why your son has this problem!

Hi Mel, I'm doing great.

Zeff, I had several credit cards opened in my name, without my knowledge. Someone went through my trash. They racked up about $2000 in debt that they didn't pay on. Now I shred everything. But. Go through every charge in the last 6 months or so. Call each and every one of those credit cards. The person who opened them up may have left clues there- like his/her name on the credit card as an authorized user. The credit card companies are well used to this kind of fraud. They should be willing to help you.

Otherwise, you may need to get an actual attorney to help you fight this tooth and nail. DO NOT pay the 18,000. I would guess if you do you'd accept responsibility, and you shouldn't be liable for any of it.

Good luck.

Gonna, I just PM'd you.

I was about to run out the door to do my errands when DD21 stopped me, and made me go up and change. She said no way I was going to the mall looking like that - I had on sweats, crocs, and a zipper sweat jacket, big deal Okay, so they were sweats that fit me about 60 lbs. ago...
Anyway, she said she was calling Stacy and Clinton on What Not To Wear. So maybe you'll be seeing me on there soon! Hey, for a 5K Visa gift card to spend on clothes, I'd play along and be humiliated by the 360 mirror.
Anyway, not much to be found for capris on the summer clearance racks. Guess I have missed the season.
