Default Monday Murmurings

I had good intentions of getting myself over to Curves bright and early this morning, but I just saw that I have a hairdresser appointment. And tomorrow the girls don't have school, so I'll have to get over there early. There always seems to be something in the way of getting to the gym anymore.

It sure was a wet weekend, but the sunny skies are due today. The girls have dentist appointments and Audrey has Cotillion after school today, so I'll be spending a good bit of the afternoon in the car.

That sums up my exciting day. What's happening in your world today?

Cottage, a hair appt sounds so much more fun than Curves!! Sounds like a busy day!

Me...nothing fun. Just school and house stuff. Spent a lot of time yesterday working on school stuff, so house got kind of shoved to the side. But, we have friday off for "fair day", so I'm looking forward to a short week..yehaa. Not that cool here this morning, so I don't get to wear any new clothes! Went and did "big" grocery shopping yesterday and hopefully have enough so I don't have to make any stops on the way home.

Good morning, Cat! I bet you just can't wait to start wearing your new wardrobe! As far as grocery shopping, doesn't it always seem like no matter how much you buy, there's always something you forgot? And I'm awful about just picking up the ONE item I need, I always seem to end up with another full bag of stuff.

I forgot paper towels. With the puppies, we are going through tons of them. Also forgot yogurt. I can get along without the yogurt, but not the paper towels!

Morning ladies!!!

Nothing terribly exciting going on today. Work, then hopefully finish the patch job on my wall...which is kind of exciting to me!!! haha This week should be an interesting one....some of my friends have been trying to set me up with two different guys...I think I'll finally give in and actually go on a date with them...although, I'm still not sure. We need to have an entirely separate dating thread because man, some of the stories I have. I do think I'm entertainment for my married friends!! hahaha...hey, at least it's interesting!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful monday!!!

Blech....just took a big swig of coffee and got a mouth full of coffee grinds...time to make a fresh pot!!

Sipping my GOOD coffee! Enjoy the fresh pot, Mandy. A dating thread sounds interesting.

Cottage and Cat, I do the same thing with groceries and the current forgotten item is paper towels. I'd buy them by the case if I had more storage space.

Had a great sleep last night and am ready to tackle the week. I've been being too nice to myself the past week and the scale shows it. Note that I killed off my ticker.

I got out my fall decorations yesterday and am going to tiddle up my entrances this morning. I have gorgeous pumpkins and may take a run into town to get some potted mums. Disney and I have a walk planned plus a visit to the nursing home. She continues to be a well-behaved and affectionate little dog. I lucked out on her!

Time to tackle the day!

Good morning chickies!!

I was at a conference this past weekend, so haven't checked in (veterinary dentistry....teeth for three days!). I resisted the snacks they had (cookies (that looked fantastic), the breakfasts (pastries and bagels, etc). I did think I ate too much, but the scale says I lost!?!?!?! I think it's because I ate almost no grains, but I did have white rice b/c that's what they had with this FANTASTIC scallop dish. It probably also has something to do with the overflow hotel I was at was across the drawbridge and down the road...a brisk 15 minute walk each way, plus the other stuff I did every day (I didn't have kids with me...I had nothing else to do!!!)

Today...recovery. Groceries, laundry, catch up ...and really need a hair cut. Nothing exciting, thank goodness!

Good Monday morning chicks.
My mysterious skin rash was getting better, but now is spreading. As I was looking at it yesterday I came to the realization that i'm an idiot. It's poison ivy! The reason I didn't realize this right away is I have never had it before. Nobody in my family is allergic to it. I guess there's nothing for it but soothing the itch, not scratching, and waiting for it to go away, right? I don't like it at all.

Sounds like a busy work week for all of us! DD has dance lessons tonight and I'll run to the store while she's there. I shopped on Friday but forgot some things of course. Yep, paper towels was one of them!

Have a good one everybody~

Cottage - have fun at your hair appointment Definitely more fun than going to the gym.

Cat - I'm queen of forgetting things at the grocery store. It's cool here this morning..but it won't last.

Mandy - how I loathed being set up on dates when I was single. Have fun with that.

Ruth - I was thinking about putting potted mums inside of pumpkins this year...I love your new avatar! I need to get some autumn pictures.

Nessa - have a great day!

Pearl - Hi! Enjoy your day!

--

Woke up early due to the neighbor's faulty car alarm... thought about smashing his car to bits....decided against it. Not much going on today - DH is playing golf this afternoon. I have an errand or two to run. I might head over to the garden center to see about getting some mums and clean out my pots.

I might make a big batch of either bolognese or puttanesca sauce to freeze...I've been in a cooking mood lately and since our freezer is almost empty due to losing the half cow, I might as well fill it up. MIL bought us a gift card to a supper making place called "Super Suppers" as kind of a pre-baby baby gift. It will definitely come in handy for those first few weeks after the baby is born.

Schmoo- simulposting. Try tea tree oil on your poison ivy, it dries it up quickly!

Smile Week 4-Phase 2

Good Morning Everyone! It is cloudy and overcast here and looking like a dreary Monday. Although it was a beautiful weekend. Not much on for today except school, workout and then we have a meeting.

I am holding pretty much all weekend at the same weight. I would like to see the scale budge down another pound or two this week!

Have a Marvelous Monday!

Awe no schmoodle! I hate poisen ivy! Calamine lotion!

Zeff, kill the neighbor instead>? have fun cooking....

Me: been neglecting house, so today is house cleaning... thinking to finally tear down the wall paper in kitchen but everyone likes the paper, I think it's too busy! It's the white with ivy in it...

Honey decided sleeping on me is the best bed... i think I have to break her of this little habit, it's cute now sure, but when a 3 lb kitten becomes a 12 lb cat, um.......

Morning Ladies, I had a very busy weekend. My in-laws live in the next town over and they had community yard sales this weekend so I took my leftover from lastweekend to theirs. With the 2 weekends combined, I managed to make enough to buy my new iphone (which was my goal). Can't even begin to tell you how much fun it is! No I probably didn't need it, but I figured it didn't come out of our budget, I was due for an upgrade, and I got rid of a bunch of junk from my house.

Cottage I saw the deal you got a mums! How lucky!

Cat funny all the talk of paper towels, I was looking at the Menards flyer yesterday and they are having a good sale on them!

Mandy good luck with the whole dating thing, better you than me!

Ruth Have a great day!

Nessa, Pearl, Zeff, June & Loriann

Twynn good job this weekend!

Schmoodle yuck, poison ivy! Get well soon!

Boss seems cranky today, better get to it. Have a great day ladies!
