Ruth: We were in the same boat as you this morning...ran the a/c all night and it was
freezing this morning. (I'm sure I'll appreciate it in a few months when freezing is the norm. Have a good day doggy-visiting with Disney. I hope all goes well. Our favorite thing to do with zucchini is to slice it into 1/2" slices, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with a mixture of parmesan cheese, italian herbs (typically dried), garlic powder, salt, pepper and some cayenne sometimes for a kick. Bake at 350* until golden brown and crispy. Mmmmm....good!
Cat: Interesting recipe. I'll have to try it when I hit maintenance. Hope your soreness has worked itself out. Is the drive to BR for fun or for necessity? Either way, I hope it's nice.
Cottage: Sorry about your procedure coming up. I take it you've had one before? I can't say that I have, but after going through the process with DH, I'm fairly sure you'll get through it fine. You're a tough woman.

(Not like DH who is a pretty little girl when it comes to that type of medical "investigation".

)
Cyndi: Hope the doc is able to figure everything out. Dizzy spells can really be scary. We're in summer-squash overload right now. I can only eat it for breakfast and dinner in the same day. Luckily the picking season is short enough that we don't get too tired of it.
rebel: Congrats on getting through the Bday party!
Jessie: I'll have to try your zucchini method. Probably takes less time than mine. Hope the glucose results come quick!
Gonna: I just think it's weird they told you that you should do that without giving a reason for suggesting it. Hope it all gets straightened out.
Nessa: Sorry about the scale. Could it be a boost in muscle mass?
Schmoodle: Hope you get some sleep tonight. I think I'd kill DH if he woke me up with the tv at 2:30!

Get some rest.
hmacneil: Wow-how great that your DMV takes appointments! Ours doesn't, but that still doesn't mean that there's ever a line. (With 7,000 people in the entire county, I'm sure they probably have days when not a single person comes in!) Enjoy your day and good luck packing!
thunder: Don't you hate not getting your workout in before the day starts? I love that I can cross it off my list for the day. Then anything I do after work is just a bonus!
Me: Well, we got home from work last night only to find a 3 foot wide by 4 foot deep trench in front of our driveway. The city is bringing our water infrastructure up to code. So, that was expected. What was unexpected was that they cut our phone lines so we have no internet and the two elderly couples that live on our side of the street have NO phones. We're fine with just our cell phones, but what if they have to call 911 in the next few days? It was clearly a mistake on their part and the phone company will be here "by Friday". What a pain.
But, on a good note, we both liked The Hulk and I was able to make some jewelry after the movie to sell, so hopefully there will be some more income coming in from that.
Well, off to work for the day! Hope everyone to come has a nice Wednesday!
