That's probably my fault, Ruth. I wait all day for you guys to wake up and then I can't stop jabbering until my eyes get heavy and I have to shuffle to bed.

Have a nice visit with Harry! I hope he is in a cheery mood.

Sigh, no good news to report chicks. I guess I'll be teetering on the edge of onederland for yet another week.
This one is for Avery and me:

Thanks Kara. I will start using DF instead. On the wedding forum where I occasionally check in FH is future husband. Sorry for the confusion.
Schmoodle When I was weighing everyday sometimes the scale wouldn't move if I hadn't gotten a good nights sleep.
Ruth Stay warm.

Hehe Dawn. For awhile I thought you were just really mad at him! Use whatever makes you happy...I get confused a lot, so it really doesn't matter.

Good morning, all! I'm having such a pleasant morning, that I feel like singing!

Barb: Oh dear, I hope you get SOME sleep. Too bad about Robert being such a pain. I'm hoping he'll be out of your way and working soon so that you won't have to deal with all of this!

Kara: Yay for Avery! She is just too cute! Oh, and great job getting that workout in! You're such a great motivator for me when it comes to working out!

Schatzi: Wow, I hope that everyone is okay that was involved in all those accidents! Hooray for the extra 2500 - are you going to be smart and save it or be fun and spend it?? Stay warm!

Leenie:

Cat: I hope your field trip is a lot of fun and that it clears up before ya'll have to hit the road! I've always wanted to go to LA besides just passing through. Maybe one of these years!

Cottage: So sorry that Jake is sick. I wish I could say that I knew what you meant about men acting like the world is over when they're sick, but my DH just wants me to leave him alone and go away when he's sick. I guess I'm lucky! I've got to bake on Sunday for our work Christmas party (Monday), but I have NO idea what to make! Maybe I'll steal some of your cookie ideas!

Schmoodle: I have to say that, even though you're not in onederland, you've shamed me and that challenge I made to you a few months ago! You're way closer to onederland than I will be for a while! Congrats and I'm sure you'll see that "1" on the scale before you know it! I'm sure DD is doing great and how funny of DS to get you back this morning!

Ruth: I have to agree with you. Why waste your time with snooty people? I love tea, but only with people I really love! Hope the garland gets up today. And if not, who cares?! Just stay warm! Oh, did the dishwasher get fixed?

Dawn: Congrats on that great yoga workout! Sounds like it was great for you! Have fun with DF shopping. And thanks for changing it, I have to be honest that I had no idea what FH was! I guess we're to attached to our "forum-speak" over here at 3FC! Have a great day!

Me: Today's the big day; tree cuttin' day! I really can't wait for it this year! DH and I are going about an hour north of here to do it, so we're packing a classic Italian picnic to take with us. The only thing we're leaving out is the wine, since alcohol and chainsaws really don't mix! I'm hoping to find one quickly, though not as quickly as last year's. Last year it was snowing, we were hungover, and we were with some rather impatient friends. I'm looking to improve on the look of our tree this year!

Other than that, I've just got to decorate the tree, clean up a bit, do some laundry and then baking tomorrow. I hope everyone's doing great!

Mandy, I sure don't envy your sister when it comes to potty-training time! Congratulations for having a clean first day on Phase 1. The rest is a piece of cake, um, theoretically of course.

It looks as if everyone has been enjoying Saturday. I drug Jake out to finish up our Christmas shopping, and he even treated me to breakfast. The stores are getting really crazy, though. We were smart to get out early. I spent the rest of the day baking 5 different kinds of cookies, and I only sampled one. Tomorrow will be biscotti day, and Amber is coming over to decorate the sugar cookies for me. It sure does feel good to sit down with my feet up, I think I've earned it.

Kim, I laughed SO hard when you wrote about alcohol and chainsaws! We've cut down our own tree a couple times but always with a hand saw. When we were in California we read that you can pay $10 and go cut down your own tree in the National Forests. This sounded like a great, money-saving idea, but we came home with the most incredibly pathetic Charlie Brown tree you could ever imagine! Here are some pics...

Mandy, glad you came over to the daily thread! How much fun is it being an aunt to quints???

Linda, you are my inspiration for being an on-plan baker! I have decided to wait until Phase 1 is over because I'm afraid I'll blow the whole thing if I bake now!!!

Kierie, I am so so sorry about your fibromyalgia. I hope the new meds work out for you! Rest up and destress!

I am officially done shopping
Cottage You're right you were smart to go early. I thought it was funny, though, for as busy as it is out there the grocery store was a ghost town.
Mandy Congrats on making it through day one. You can definitely do this.
Kim
Kara As I was out doing my shopping it occured to me that everyone might have thought that. Again thank you for letting me know.
So DF didn't go shopping with me which is probably why I got it all done. I had a great time though. It's cold and feels like the holidays. I'm off to cook dinner hope everyone had a great day.

Glad you got your shopping done, Dawn! I do love shopping, but crowds are not my favorite.

Wahooooooooooooooooo! Hi everyone!

Ok so I'm not a big fan of Springfield turning into a skating rink. Had freezing rain last night, then it stopped, and started again today and we're supposed to have an ice storm all night and all day tomorrow, to finally stop Monday. YUCK! Brrrrrrr I hate this! I've scraped my car 4 times today, and I realized that I don't have any gloves. Don't know what happened to them but they apparently didn't move with me.

Sounds like everyone's busy busy busy! Me too! I'm going to stay in and watch a movie tonight, and may help my parents paint tomorrow if the roads are ok to drive on. Have missed you girls. Sorry I haven't been around a whole lot but things have just been wild here! Love you all, and hope your pre-holidays are going great! Talk soon.

I am tired, ladies. I'm waiting for Brian to get out of the shower so I can read to him and we can both crash. I got to bed at 3:30AM and then my pager kept going off starting at 4AM so I had to get up and work for another 15 or 20 minutes and then try to go back to sleep. Robert was coughing around 5 which woke me but he did leave the room so I could sleep until the alarm went off at 7.

The leaf raking was fun and I talked to Pam who might agree to be our registrar for Twilight Camp. It is a huge task but it would make a great Wood Badge ticket item. She'll let me know soon.

We didn't get the garage sale started until about 10:30 but we sold quite a bit. Most of it was Brian's stuff so he earned $61 from the sale. We went to Walmart tonight to look at paint. He wants to totally redecorate and switch from Pokemon to Western/horses. The good thing is he can pay for most if not all of it with his gift cards from selling popcorn.

Time for bed. Talk to you tomorrow.

Congrats to Avery, I have my littlest DD almost there, just have to get her to figure out going number two is also for the potty--long struggle but we are getting there slowly but surely.

Weezle, I feel for you we are just at the borderline where it might turn into freezing rain, I work in St. Louis but live on Illniois side and I don't get off until 5 a.m. so I keep watching to make sure I will not have to drive home in that stuff so far it is holding up to just rain and not switching to freezing.

I went out into the crowds Saturday afternoon, it is getting crazier and more crowded each day- I am down to just two people left to buy for and I think I might just do online to avoid crowds.

Have a great Sunday everyone

Quick Fly by...since I took off yesterday, I'm snowed under in work, but thought if you'd like to take a tour of The Plantations we saw yesterday, I'd share the photos. We had a wonderful time. The fog finally cleared around 11 and it turned into a beautiful warm day.
