Just dashing through and checking in. I may not be online much for the next few days but will be checking.
This morning I have my kitchen to put into company order, the downstairs to vacuum and food to organize. The cooking is done except for sausage rolls which may or may not get done. I'll be outta here at noon to go to spend the afternoon with Jim, Wendy and sweet Tayler plus Wendy's family. I would really like to be back here by four for finishing touches but I doubt that will happen. Church is at 7:30 and I would love a bit of down time before then. Somehow I doubt it will happen.
I hope everyone has a peaceful and happy Christmas. Cherish your families and friends.
Barb You are a BIT tired? You are a trooper, I would be throwing myself a big 'ole pity party!
Two Peas What type of classes are you taking? I did a Beth Moore Bible study on the book of Daniel recently. It was the first one I had ever done, and I really enjoyed it.
Ruth Be safe my friend!!
Kim Nothing like a house full to make the holidays fun! Today and tomorrow will be busy, but fun for us. We have church this morning and then will be back there again this evening for the Christmas Eve service. Our church actually has a children's service at 5:00 which is very child friendly, loud, lots of singing. That is the one we will be attending followed by dinner at my in laws.
It was so cute because the other day I was talking to my older daughter about Christmas and I asked her what it was all about. Her two answers were "giving" and "Jesus' birthday." So, although she is a typical 5 year old and can't wait to open presents, she gets the meaning.
Okay, more coffee is needed- I have been battling a cold for the last few days and don't feel so great this morning. More caffiene is certainly in order.
I heard that Beth Moore was good. I am getting my B.A. at an online Bible College. I have been attending for around 2 years. I have about another year to go.
I love to teach and learn then teach what I learn. I have done some on-line Bible studies that can be viewed on line by our church or anyone else who wishes to see them.
As you can see from my new avatar, you girls aren't the only ones who know how much I love potatoes. My friend David sent gifts for me, my family, and Abdul, and he got me a cook book that sums up my favorite food: POTATO. I thought it was funny but also it will be quite useful!
The last few days, the scale has said 124, but I'm not going to mess with the ticker until Tuesday. Lots of snacky things around. I behaved during the day but had several cheese slices and crackers before dinner, and then dinner wasn't necessarily "small" either. Another big dinner tomorrow and then I should be good to go. Only 20 more days until Key West!!! Have to behave myself!
Merry Christmas to you all, and to those who don't celebrate Christmas, Happy Whatever-it-is-that-you-do-or-do-not-celebrate to you too! A Festivus for the rest of us!
