Cate- the wonderful thing about spin classes is that you need no co- ordination and you control the resistance. So, if it's getting a bit intense you can put your resistance down to nothing. I love them and it's not like aerobics where if you can't keep up you end up facing the wrong corner of the class!!
I'm tired from my 18 hour day out of the house yesterday- spinning, work, 1hr elliptica, shower, out with clients. Planned rest day today then a 9 mile walk tomorrow morning.
I had plenty of exercise for 2 days but it wasn't my scheduled stuff. Tired and worn out, I am taking a shower and will do some over the weekend to make it up.
Hope the day went well for everyone and have a wonderful and safe weekend!!
How long does it take you to walk 9 miles? Do you walk on a path in the country, or a highway, or in a city?
Thanks for the information on the spin classes. I am anxious to start, but a little fearful because I don't want to drop out like a have in the past. There has to be a time when I commit. I hope that time is now.
It is really wonderful to have others to chat with about the ups and downs of weight loss and fitness.
Mel- I hope you feel better soon- catch up on your rest and you'll feel better.
Cate- It takes just over 2 hours and I live in a town and walk along the roads as purely training for distance not the sights. There will be a time when walking is a nice relaxing thing to do rather than a scheduled thing but not for 9 weeks!
Good luck if you decide to give spinning a go- the classes here are only 45 minutes as well so so much easier to fit in to your day (it must be a mental thing as it's only an extra 15 minutes)
Just off to walk. Tomorrow is yoga and a spin class in the afternoon if I fancy it.
I'm movin' and a groovin'
reelin' an' a rockin'
whole lotta shakin' goin' on!
Somehow this song got stuck in my head...or at least part of it while exercising!
Happy Sunday
Hey everyone, it's great to see all the moving going on here! I've been out of action for a couple of weeks because of a medical procedure and couldn't do anything strenuous for a while. So I'm just easing back into exercise ...
Yesterday hubby and I rode bikes along the river trail and it felt great to move! We rode for about 60 minutes and went a bit farther than our last ride two weeks ago. Today I worked abs and lower back and I think I will be sore tomorrow! Starting out slow this week but so glad to be back!
I joined Gold's Gym and went in for the first time today. I did 30 minutes on the , followed up with 1 hour of Body Pump, then did 30 minutes on the .
So, tomorrow morning I am going again. I keep telling myself, if Clareh can walk and train like she does, so can I. Well, it will take me some time to catch up, but know I can.
45 minutes of cardio, 100 crunches....Sooooo didn't want to go today, so patting myself on the back for every step. Also, weigh day, down another pound, especially gratifying after a bad Sonoma week.
