Default Weights and Goals

I just think it would be interesting to know how much everyone weighs and what their goals are.

I'm currently 230.5 and I'd like to be down to at least 150. That seems like so much to lose!!!

Hi Pixie! Just joined this tonight and have been on the Sonoma Diet now for about a month. Started at 167, am now 157 and want to be 150, too. I haven't seen that number for years! Don't be discouraged about the amount you want to loose. I think this diet will do it for you (if you follow it as suggested).

I'm on day 14 of the Sonoma diet and loving it so far.

I started at 178 two weeks ago and I'm currently at 164.8. My goal is 136, which is the max. "normal" weight for my height. I think I'd look really good at that weight (although I've never been below 155 in my life) cuz I would still like to keep some of my curves!

I'm between 145 and 150 now (a bit of yo-yoing back and forth due to my overeating-for-no-good-reason), and my goal used to be 140. I started at 170 and, now that I'm close, I'm thinking that I'd like to get a little lower as I am still pretty lumpy!

Did you ladies cook the recipies in the book? I have guestimated the portions a bit. I haven't been using the recipies in the book. I have been customizing the recipies in the book to meet my own taste buds. I hope I'm doing it well. I guess if it doesn't go as well as planned, I could always try phase 1 over again doing it exactly by the book.

I started 5 days ago (yea, half way through wave 1). I started at 167.5 lbs. This morning I weighed 164. I hope to get to 149, mostly just to get into the 140s again. I have a high school reunion this August (yikes!), so that is my target time.

Wow, Sherilyn, you lost *12* pounds on Wave 1?? Congrats!!

I started at 268, and am down to 239. I'd like to get to 155, but I'm not thinking that far ahead right now. I decided to start Sonoma because I've been sitting at a 30 lbs. loss for several weeks, no real change since the beginning of the year. I haven't been in the 220's since the mid 90's, so that's my goal at the moment.

I'm only on Day 2, but had a blistering headache last night, I'm guessing from sugar withdrawl. I was suprised when I looked over my current eating habits how much fruit I ate, substituting for all that processed sugar I ate before. I keep telling myself I can do anything for 10 days!

I was also doing WW, counting points, but it gets so much harder once you get down past 150 lbs. and I am just sick of counting them! So I started Sonoma yesterday, also had a terrible headache, mainly because I was too busy to cook & eat the right foods, so I went without! Anyway, I hopped on the scale today and lost 2 pounds! I'm definitely sticking with it! That's motivation enough! The few recipes I've tried so far are delicious and the whole background and concept of this way of eating hits home with me. I grew up eating this well and once I had my own family I quit eating like I should and put on the pounds! No more sugar, no more white flour, no more fried foods!

I started weight loss at 157, am now down to 148 and want to get down to 125.

Hey Everyone!

I started Day 1 of Wave 1 today, and so far so good! I've lost 5 pounds in the last two weeks by working out and calorie counting, and then I found the Sonoma diet. I'm at 187 right now, hoping to get down to 140 eventually!

Wow, I really like this diet so far. I am on day five and lost 5 pounds already. I am a little worried because it does not seem healthy. But I can say that I am eating healthy but get a little hungry between meals. I will say that the scal going down is very motivating to stick with it when i am tempted to eat.

Hi everyone! I started at 270 about 2 years ago. I lost about 50 pounds, mainly through exercise - job related (walking 15 miles per day does that to you fast) but when I stopped working there I gained back almost 30 pounds! Woah! When I saw the scale was about to hit 250 again I freaked! I lost about 8 pounds on my own, then another 10 since being on Sonoma. I'm down to 229 right now. Lots of work left to do! Eventually (way down the road) I'd like to be between 150 and 170 (I don't quite know where, since I've never been there - and I do like my curves and big boobs!!!) Currently my goal is to get below 200 - and I'm thinking I'll do it at least by mid-summer time. I hope!

I would have sworn I posted in this thread last week, but I guess I never clicked the "post" button!

Anyway, I started Sonoma around the beginning of January at 205. So far I've lost 21 or 22 pounds (had some fluctuation lately), and my ultimate goal is 130. I may change that as I get closer to it, but it seems reasonable at this point.

The funny thing is *where* I'm losing. There's not a huge difference in my pants size so far (although they are much looser), but I can definitely see it in my face. Last week my partner was hugging me and said "What is this lump on your back?" and then laughed and said "Oh, never mind....it's a rib!" lol So apparently most of that 21 pounds has come off my face and my back!

Lyndon 1, Why don't you google Sonoma and Mediterranean diets and read a few articles. I think that you will find that Mediterranean based diets are very healthy, so you can stay on plan with no worries.

I really didn't think the diet was unhealthy. I was just worried about loosing too fast. I am very pleased with the results so far and looking forward to wave 2.
