You go, zofia. Good morning everyone. Today's weight 150.6 loss of 1.8 pounds from last week. I'll just see how it goes, that was a big loss for me, usually I maintain my weight, we'll see if some concerted effort moves the scale down. I'm not concerned with losing it quickly, just a steady loss would be nice. B- steelcut oats, soymilk, walnuts and dried cherries. L- sunburger wrap and grapefruit juice. D- chicken corn salad dark chocolate. Exercise, cardio and weights, will be back to report what my time was, and what muscles we worked.

Back to night shifts for me for the next four nights.. I don't mind, it keeps my eating on track when I'm stuck in the office for 11 hours and then sleeping all day.

This week I want to try to do more exercise than usual and see if that makes a noticeable difference. My weight hasn't changed much but I've lost a few cms in measurement.

In no particular order, here's my food for today/tonight -
Green Salad
Piece of breaded cod and green salad
Curried lentils and veg sausage
Special K 88 cal choc and raspberry bar
Low fat yoghurt

1/2 hour wii
90 mins brisk walking

I think I just need to pick another 20 days somewhere and put all i have in it and loose the remaining weight... after that it will go off slowly.

Today:
B Toast with butter
L: soup? Sandwich no idea hahah
D: Salad and omelette.

Probably dessert with a friend

We booked a holiday today, going to Corfu at the end of May for a week, eeeeeeeee! So excited, haven't been on a holiday (except going home to Dublin but that doesn't count) since I moved to Malta 4 years ago. Hope I can shift another good chunk of weight before then.

L: chicken with honey and almonds, couscous, tangerine
D: pasta with lamb ragu and ricotta, salad with goat cheese, red grapes and pistachios-this was actually quite good.

Hi,

I am sorry to barge in on your check-in thread, but it seems a good place to get all of your attention

I just got some bloodwork back and it was no good. I have a vitamin D deficiency and it is possibly the cause of high blood pressure, and my numbers look horrible! (trig, chol, hdl/ldl). After spending many hours online researching 'lowering triglycerides' etc, I saw Mediterranean is the way to go to lower and correct.

So I'd like to know - did any of you Son/Med followers have any issues like cholesterol, etc. before you started eating this way? Also, how do you find the weight loss? (I'm seeking a healthy 1 lb per week).

I found both the sonoma diet & cookbook at my library and they are holding it for me. I'm excited to read it... my DH is a chef and I think he'll definitely be way on board to this way of eating.

Hi shestrying,

High blood pressure and cholesterol yes, as before I started I was eating a lot of fried foods and drinking a lot of alcohol, whilst getting no exercise. I now suffer from neither, in fact I suffer from nothing, touch wood. Couldn't recommend Mediterranean eating enough. I lose 1-2lbs a week if I've been good and exercised.

Best of luck, and if you have any questions about anything then barge right back in

Hi shestrying-I have high blood pressure. I"m planning to make an appointment with my doctor this week to see if I can have my meds lowered now that I've lost 10% of my body weight. Can't recommend this way of eating highly enough-it's really tasty and the health benefits are fantastic.

B: greek yogurt, frozen berries, whey protein, sugar free latte
L: chicken with honey and almonds, couscous
D: pasta with lamb ragu, salad greens with goat cheese, pistachios and grapes-this salad is awesome by the way.
