Question Meta Treks?

Has anyone used these or heard of these? When I was checking out the T-Tapp site I noticed a lot of people use weighted shoes to either work out or just walk. I was wondering what you guys thought.

I read somewhere that it isn't good for your hips this made me realise why a long , long time ago when I used to wear ankle weights my hips were always sore...

Miriam Nelson, author of the Strong Women series, has exercises using ankle weights, but only for stationary exercises, specifically those where you swing your leg back or to the side. She cautions against doing any type of exericse where you're moving while wearing them, and in fact says to put them on, do the exercise, then take them off without walking around.

Yeah, I've heard any weights on the extremeties can be issues, like ankle weights, writst weights, or holding weights when walking. I think the only safe weight to add on is around your core, like those weighted belts where you can add in different amounts of weight.
