Default Summer's Over... Right??

Well it was an busy summer, and a lousy summer eating wise! I know that I overate alot of the time, and all the BBQ's and stuff....Geesh!

But on the good side I only gained 2 lb's the entire summer! YAY me!

My birthday is on Saturday, and I'm determined to look better at 26 then I ever have, take pride in myself. You see, I never really cared what I wore, or how my hair looked, and was what most would call a typical tom boy.... Time to grow up and change! Get fitted clothes instead of baggy oversized clothes, show my sexy side, and not hide it, that sort of thing....

I've got to get back into my excersising and I'm hoping to take a cooking course in October...YAY! I am not a good cook, so I need all the help I can get in that dept.

It is sad - but I must agree - summer is over - time to get our butts in gear for next summer!

Hi Amanda!
Yup summer is over On the positive side we now have cooler weather so no excuse not to exercise.
I'm 28 and the thought of 30 coming up is motivating me to lose the rest of this weight so I can be fitter at 30 then at 20. I'm a typical tom boy as well. I find it hard to break out of the jeans and tees for sexier outfits. I can't remember the last time I wore a skirt. LOL But I always get such good comments when I wear more "girly" clothes. So my reward to myself for each 5 lbs. lost is a new sexier outfit.

Liz, I totally understand about the skirts! I only own 3 dresses my wedding dress, and the 2 bridesmaid dresses that I wore at both of my sisters weddings...that's about it! I'm such a t-shirt kind of girl...and when I get "dressed up" in dress pants, and a nice shirt, people's jaws drop....LOL! So With my birthday money this year I'm spending it on new clothes, sexy clothes that I can feel good about myself in! It really boosts my confidence in myself if I look good, which I never really realized until this past summer!

Hi Amanda,
It is funny that you mentioned bridesmaid dresses. I just got asked if I would be a bridesmaid at my brother's wedding at the end of October. I of course said yes but I heard that my brother's fiancee was hesitant to ask me because she didn't know if I would be comfortable wearing a dress. Jeez! Plus my boyfriend is looking forward to seeing me in the dress because he hasn't seen me in a dress yet and we have been together over 9 months. Hmmmm.... I really need to dress up my style. I'll tell you what, he better start taking me to dressy places if he expects me to dress up. Who wears dresses to the movies?!?! My idea of dressing up right now is dressy pants and a nice shirt. And yes I get alot of comments when I wear that kind of clothes. Good comments...so I guess it should motivate me to wear dressy clothes. At 28 I guess it is time that I grew up. LOL

summer is on its way for me! we are just coming out of winter and i am looking forward to experimenting with lots of sexy salads, bbq's and lots of yummy seafood.

i have been so jealous this winter while listening to people on these boards talk about their wonderful summer fruit and vege. now its time for me to enjoy it all too i bet in a couple of months i will be complaining about the heat though. thankfully we have an air conditioner so it doesn't get too bad.

I'm determined to look and feel sexier, because I shouldn't feel like a slob at the ripe old age of 26...it's true what they say, when you get married you can really let yourself go, sometimes without even realizing it...you eat more, or differently, you aren't really concerned with your looks, or keeping up with things....I've only been married 3 yrs, and WOW! The changes....time to start caring about me for once!

Daisy Boo - You lucky girl. Hows the weather in Australia? Does it get really humid or is it overall a good climate location?

Canadian_Mickey - don't get yourself down about your looks. You look beautiful, plus i'm pretty sure you S.O. loves you how you are. Keep working out, eating healthy, and you'll get to where YOU want to be in no time.

trns - at the moment we are practically still in winter. still raining this week (although it is the dryest winter on record) and still cold. its strange but the seasons seem to be pushed back a couple of months.

the weather isn't too bad here in summer - much better than some other parts of the country. fortunately we live fairly close to the coast which makes it cooler and of course, we have the trusty air conditioner

I am actually THRILLED that summer is ending...I hated going to school when it was 100 degrees outside (and very humid)...I live in a small river town surrounded with huge bluffs and when the leaves changes it's sooo beautiful...not to mention I LOVE LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!!!

Daisy Boo - OOOo. That sounds nice. I can't wait for winter to come, I'm over summer this year.

Pilatesgrl - I love Halloween too! Well maybe because my birthday is the day before. =hehe=
