Post Young Mommies With Three Or More Kid's..BUDDY UP HERE!!!

I've posted on a few threads with so so results so I thought I'd start one for women like me!!!!
I'm just turned 27 and I'm a stay at home mom of 4 children ages 9,7,5, and almost three months..Two boys and two girls.
I lost weight between having my first three children but actually put some on after my son's birth 3 months ago.Well after living in my maternity clothes since his birth I finally said enough is enough.
And I'm doing well so far but could use some support ,motvation and some buddy's to chat with.
I know I can't be alone on this.
So if your in the same boat as me jump in and we will all help each other!!!
Hope to hear from you all soon..

Hi, I don't know if I really consider myself a young mommy anymore (LOL, I'm 32) but I hear I look young all the time, does that count? I have 3 boys (8/4/2). I lost most of my weight between my first and second sons, but got pregnant right when I started losing between 2 and 3, so ended up weighing ALOT more than I would like. I nursed with all 3 boys, but that seemed to make it harder for me to lose instead of easier.

Right now I am calorie counting and working out 3-4 times a week. I'm trying to make each work out longer and then aim for 5-6 days a week instead :-P

Well it's nice to meet you!!!And yes I consider 32 a young mother..Well I don't breastfeed ,but you would think all the running I do taking kids to tumbling, cheerleading, boy scouts ,ect. I would be rail thin..But darn I love food
So how is your diet part going{as in eating the right foods?}I have no problem with that it's seems to be getting easier everyday,it's the exersize that I can't seem to get going with..I see you doing well with exersize, feel free to share you tips with me!!I need the motivation...
So I have to ask whats your forbidden food? Mine's chinese food and cheesecake!!I just totally avoid all -you -can -eat bars..which is a shame because my children love chinese but I havent got the willpower yet.
I've also been using them single packets of crystal light packs in my bottled water, it makes getting my daily water down easier{not much for plain water} I'm trying to eat before the kids eat so I make a seperate supper for myself and then my husband and the kids have theirs..
But welcome to the club hopefully we can get some more mommies on here and get this weight off!!! Hope to here from you again soon!

Well, I am almost a young mommy. I had my kids young. I am almost 32, my kids are 14 and 11 and I think it is harder when they reach this age. Aliens come in and take your sweet babies and turn them into children you hardly recognize......hormones etc. ackkkkkkkk.

Anyway, I hope I can be apart of this thread since my kids are much older. I am having trouble getting back on track. I keep telling myself I will start my diet tomorrow, but tomorrow never seems to come. I know that I need to retrain my brain into eating right and exercising EVERYDAY.

Hopefully, I can find a diet/lifestyle change that will work for me.

Good luck to everyone in their weight loss ventures.

Jess

Hi Jess!!! Welcome to the club!!
I also had my children young too,my oldest daughter is almost 10 and I know what you mean about homones lol Ive been married 11 years , I'm starting to think my hubbys is like kid #5
I'm totally with you on the '"I'll start tomorrow thing" but I'm planning another trip to Vegas so that's what finally got me into gear.At least on the diet thing, exersize I'm working on.
I went to Vegas last November and found out I was pregnant a few weeks before,it made it nice for the buffets but all the free drinks were out!! I'm hoping to be slim and trim for my next visit..
But easier said then done.
So I'll make a deal with you .I'll help you retrain your brain and you can help me on mine -k-
I'm hoping to get a few more ladies on this thread and then start a weekly weigh in to keep us motivated!!
Just remember we can do this ,I think we all give 100% to our kids we need to do a little for ourselves..Hope to talk to you soon.

Hello.. New here.. just joined yesterday.. I am not really younger.. I am 33 yrs old.. proud mother of 13 yo girl, 9 yo boy, and 2 yo boy. But I feel young like 25.. Been married for 8 years and gonna to be 9 after halloween. I am in same boat like you '"I'll start tomorrow thing" then the next day.. didnt do it. I bought new treadmills few months ago.. I lost 10 pounds.. from walking 30 to 40 mintues daily and count calories and cook healthy foods. SOmehow after my summer vacation..I stopped walking and eatng junks .. gained 10 back on. Yestereday I told myself.. I need to get back on my track and lose weight and be healthy. So I started over again.. Today I walked for 45 mintues ( 2 miles) on treadmill this early am before my boy wake up. I know I will feel good /engery again if I keep walking daily and eat healthy. My one of my friends said you can do it.. dont give up.. I used to be 135 before I had children. that's 13 years ago, keep gaining when have children and married. I did breastfed with my last baby for 16 months my first time... I lost lots of weights. I wish I have done with my first two childrens. I need buddy to help eachother.. my hubby's not very support.. He would make me feel guilty like he would say.. I want some candy or chips.. Then I fall in and eat it .. I am weak on chocolate. I know I can have few bites not a whole a bar! LOL..

Tricia ,Hello it's nice to meet you!! First off great job on the exesize That's my goal for today is to do at least 30 min of exersize before the kids get home from school..And I totally understand about your hubby..Mine's a farmer so it's meat and potatoes around here all the time..Steak and burgers fried potatoes, mashed and all the butter it's really hard to pass up..but I'm doing it..
It's just not worth it to me anymore, to eat that stuff and then go to buy some new clothes and DREAD the dressing room!!!
So I am totally giving it my all this time!!So far so good. And I think having people to chat with willl help me.
Now if I could just give up that morning cappiccino sp? My last vice to give up..
I was 120 before I started having kids .Hope to see it again !!!
And yes your friends right if we want it bad enough we can do it...Hope to hear from you and the other ladies again soon..Pop in and tell me how your day goes ,believe me hearing others are doing well inspires me!!!!

It 's nice to meet you too! I lives in the country... small farm.. I have chickens.. LOL.. I don't have vegetable garden this year.. since we moved in our new brand house which it was built on our 18 acres. My daugther who is 13.. asked me are we going to have vegetable garden next year.. I told her Yes WE WILL.
I love to eat fresh vegetables that come from garden. My goal is to eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, count calories, excrise. My calories per day is 1500. Today we are having eggplants/spinach cassorle..( vegetarian).. I am not Vegetarian. I eat everything but I want to try something different as it is healthy food.
I have lots of chores to do today... laundry.. mop the floor.. dusting..

Later,
Tricia

Stacey it's nice to meet you.. Yeah we are the same age.. When's your birthday?Mine's August 11th. I did weight watcher's for awhile I didnt have any luck .Well a little but it was slow. The best weight loss program I ever did was my own and I lost 40 pounds in 3 months ..That was after my 2nd was born..I watched what I ate and did 30 min of exersize twice a day 5 days a week..Like I said if I could only get the motivation to get with a routine with the exersize again But I did do my morning 30 min so it's a start.
Tricia that's funny were also in the middle of moving we sold our 83 acre farm and are moving on a 29 acre one{not so far out in the boonies}My husbands a cattle farmer havent got any chicken..I just got rid of a horse since I can't ride to much with a 3 month old.
Let's see...supper tonight is chili..which I will eat I'll take mine out before I add the sugar[we like sugar in everything around here i.e sloppy joes and pizza sauce}a bad habit my granny passed down to me when she taught me how to cook And I bought me some light crackers to go with it and I'll probably have some applesauce..
I think I'll try the scale tomorrow morning I'll let you all know how it goes..Hope you ladies have a great day!!!!!!!!!

I started to weight myself on Fridays since May. But it's hard to try not to weight daily.. LOL.. On Fridays, I check weights right after I get out of bed and use bathroom then weight it. When I notice I lost a pound or two.. I get exciting.. Write it down in a book with date and weight.

Boy, thing's crazy over here.. we are preparing for Big Storm ( Hurricane/Tropical Storm Rita).. We are staying here.. not evucated. If it's Cat. 4, 5, We are leaving with our critters period.

Tricia,My thoughts are with you and your family..these storms have been relentless this year!!!Where exactly are you at?Please keep me updated on how things are..I don't watch the news much ,it's too depressing.
But on a better note I did well today eating wise ..Hopefully all this will show Friday...if I can stay off the scale that long Heck I even have to have willpower for that!!!
I hope everyone else's day went well..My goal for tomorrow DRINK MORE WATER!!

Thumbs up I want to be your buddy!

Hello,
I'm a 24 year old wife and mother of three, ages 2 1/2, 1, 1. My daughter is 2 1/2 years old and my twin sons are 1 years old. I'm also a stay at home mother. I start school in January. I'm attending Howard University. My major is Phyaician Assistant.

I too, need some motivation and support through my weight loss journey. I recently put on 20 lbs in 2 months (due to a med, that I'm NO longer taking) which put me at 200 lbs. My doctor put me on Adipex (phentermine). Since I just started the medication, I haven't noticed any results. I'm going to weigh in on fridays also. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

After I reach my goal weight of 145, I'm going to shoot for 135 lbs
.
