Default ab exercises

hello. can anyone point me in the direction of some good ab exercises? i have a bad back, so i try to be careful with how i do ab stuff. i know that if i get my abs stronger, my back will be better, though. also (oh, this is embarassing, but it happens) my stomach is too big; (duh, that's why i'm here)it gets in the way of me doing curls and such. can anyone help?? websites, videos, a list of exercises you like, whatever. thanks!

This site may answer your question. I think the most important thing to do is make sure you do the exercises properly.

Here is another one:

Default What time?

When is it more beneficial to work your abs? Before you eat something like first thing in the a.m. or does it matter? Anyone have any advice on this?

Default abs

I have had the most luck doing crunches while using a stairstepper to place my feet on. This concentrates more on the abs and reduces the use of the hip flexors. One excellent tape is the Tammy Lee Webb tape Platinum Series Arms and Abs of Steel 2000. The end of the tape has a three part toning section for abs.
