Good morning, ladies! Glad to see some of you up and about this morning. I really shouldn't be here, I have so much to do today. Honey and I are leaving for our Niagara Falls trip in the morning and what did I do? Scheduled a full day of jobs! Nice!!! Would somebody please thump me on the head for being so stupid. Even if I physically get the jobs done, I still have to do all the paperwork for them. YIKES!

Katrina: "Englishtown" sounds like fun. I love flea markets, but most of them around here have turned into "vendor" selling places. In other words, it's not folks like you and me selling their junk, it's "vendors" who have bought stuff wholesale and are now trying to make a buck!

Julie: Glad to see you're still hanging out with us. You truely are inspiring.

BarbPA: Sooooo, you were hubby's entertainment for the night on your BIG A$$ ball! Too Funny! Did you get to the gym?

Steph: WOW!!! Good girl! You are definitely on a roll!

Michelle: I'm always logged into IM when my computer is on too. It doesn't sound like you had any time to chat anyway! Geez girl, take a break. Are you doing classes this summer too?

Terri: I'm about ready for that " can of whup-azz", believe me. *I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. [[[hugs]]] to you and yours.

Lisa: I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. That's a shame, but I kinda get how he feels about not going through a bunch of treatments at his age. [[[[hugs]]]] to you and your family.

Well, I'm running to try and get some stuff done. Love you bunches!

Terri: I am a Mall of America expert. I lived there for about 7 years!!!!!! Literally, I lived right across the street from it and was there sometimes 5 times a week!

I would be happy to meet you there, even "sleep" with you in a hotel if you want to come with your church group! Not that you really know me either but we can fix that!

My Monday Motivation is written in the book study thread.
To sum up my thoughts for the day is....

You can't eat the whole thing... the whole bag ... if you don't take the first bite.
So just give up that one small first bite. Give up the "just one bite" and you have given up the whole thing.

Give up that first bite... and you will not be playing Russian Roulette with your success.
Give up that first bite... and there is no remorse to live with.
Give up that first bite... and replace it with PRIDE.

Yes... you may have to cry to give it up.
You may even have to throw it in the trash and waste it.
BUT LADIES ... YOU ARE WORTH IT !!!!!
We say we would pay $500 for a magic pill.... but will you thow away a $1.59 ???
I hope so. I know it is hard. But we have to change...and there is no time like TODAY !!

Talking

Wow everyone seems to be doing so great. Even you Miss Melis! It takes way more guts to try than it does to succeed. Just remember to try every day. Then try a little more, then try a little harder and before you know it you wont be trying anymore, you‘ll be doing!.

I am sorry I haven’t been about much ladies. I’ve been so busy. I’m trying to get a few things done and I’ve been getting rid of clutter and scrubbing walls and floors in my room, then painting it all…I am not far from done with the painting bit. I still have the post op clean up and then I get to paint my murals, and put in my furniture, and decorate! Heh it’s been a disaster so far though. Every time I turn around I am running out of paint or a roller is breaking on me, or the wrong color comes in. It’s been awful, but it is turning out beautifully. I think I am going to like it.

I have also lost 34 pounds since March 7th! I was waiting for that 30 pound mark for it to seem real. I am only thirty one pounds away from being bellow 400 pounds. I am starting to be able to actually see a difference when I look at myself in the mirror. It feels good to see the weight coming off.

I put up a new pic but I took it myself so it isn’t a full body shot. It was taken two weeks ago. The other one I still had all my hair, and the 34 pounds I’ve lost. Since then I’ve whacked all that hair off and lost a few pounds to boot. Bah, but I always look grim or pissy in pictures. Dunno why. I need to get some full body ones taken to track progress and post em.

Alright girls, I gtg, got to finish up that bedroom. Big hugs to everyone! I’ll try to keep more caught up. I hope everyone is doing well!

Hugs,
Blue

Hi ladies.

I hope eveyone had a great weekend. I don't have time to go and read all the weekends posts but I'll catch up when I can.

Blue, I'm so proud of you! I wondered what had happened to you because I hadn't seen you post in quite a while. You must feel great about your weight loss and before you know it you'll be under 400. Congrats!

As for me, I lost another 2.5 lbs this week making my total since 1/12/04 46 lbs. I went out this weekend and bought clothes. I fit in a 26/28 again. Yippee!!! Wearing clothes that fit and not the ones that are too big makes a real difference in people noticing that I've lost weight. Until now I think my weight loss was hidden in the bigger clothes. Things are still going great in that dept. I had my period this week (still do) and though maybe I wouldn't lose weight because of that but I did. I even went over my fat gram count a few times this week. I was very pleased this morning to say the least. In 2-3 weeks I'll be under 300! I'm stunned.

Talk to you all soon and I'll catch up when I can.

Sounds as if everyone is doing well. I went to the dentist today and found out that I have to have my top 2 wisdom teeth removed. Oh boy! Not looking forward to that at all. Other than that, things are still going well here. Gotta get ready for work now. Bye.

Terri: We could bring our “huge *** green balls” along and roll around the hotel room!!! Or better yet the Mall. There is a lot of room to roll around in there. I used to walk there during the winter months for my exercise. I loved the second floor because it is carpeted and was easier on the knees and feet!!

What kind of food do you like? They have great Chinese and Mexican places in Bloomington. By the way, Bloomington is where the Mall of America is and I lived there for 28 years!!!! There are good hotels within walking distance of the mall too.

Congrats on your loss too, Lisa. A Mall of America Fall Fling would be fun – just not in August because the place is packed then. All of those kids getting school clothes. I live 2 ½ hours from the cities so I can be there most anytime!!! AND the Mall is only a few miles from the airport!!!

2Cute & BarbG, yep those are the auctions I love.

Barb G congrats on the loss. I bet bidding burns calories!

You are in my thoughts and prayers, Terri & Lisa.

The Swedish Invasion went GREAT. We had so much fun talking and laughing. I nearly floated away by 5PM from all the coffee I drank. My new plan is to go over there after I retire so I can stay for a month.

I have been reading Dr. Phil and will give you all my 2 cents worth later on the book thread.

Well, poop.

DH and I were just talking about making the trip north in August to shop for fall clothes - right before he heads back to school himself. I've already scoped out a Staybridge Suites hotel in the Eagan? area. That's what 2Cute had found for us in Tulsa and we really liked the quality and layout of the place.

We'll have to rethink the timing. How about the end of July?

And NO, I'm not driving with a huge azz green ball in the back of the car.

I've done 20 minutes on the airdyne tonight and just about ready for dinner. After that, I'm taking the dipstick dog for a nice walk.

Later!

Hello!
How are my favorite gals tonight????

All the talk of the Mall of America has me thinking about bringing my big a$$ ball and rolling around with you gals!! (ok, no balls). I have to travel out to MN a couple times a year for work. I am thinking I could find a reason to go for work and spend a day with you gals! Just a thought. If you'd have me of course!

Lucky - Glad to hear the Swedish invasion went well!

Lisa - I am sorry to hear about your Grampa. Hugs! ~~~ Congrats on your accomplishments with your weight loss and will power!!

Terri - I am sorry to hear about your uncle.

Thin - THUMP!! Overdoing it as usual I see! Normally the rolling pin smile is used for dorky DHs! At least you have your trip to look forward to! Nope, I didn't make it to the gym this morning...but, before you say anything.....I came home and did 20 minutes on the exercise bike and attempted a bit on the big ball! So, mission accomplished for the day!

2cute - Loved the Monday motivation. I will remember that next time I am tempted to just take one bite!

Blue - Great to see you back here. I was wondering how you were doing! You are doing FABULOUS! Where is the pic? Didn't see it anywhere.

Ingrid - You too - WONDERFUL WORK!!! Keep it up!!

Pat - Good to see you popping in!

Steph - Sorry about the dental work! Yuck. DH just had 3 teeth removed. He was pretty sore for a day or two but bounced back quickly!

I received one of the sweetest things in the mail today......many of you know I use to teach....well, the last year I lived in FL I taught a wonderful 2nd grade class....I have kept in touch with a few people over the years and until today it didn't dawn on me that my favorite group of students are now SENIORS in high school! One of my dear little boys sent me an invitation to his graduation!!! I was so touched!!!

Hubby just got home from a long day in NYC....gotta pay some attention to him.

Have a Great night!
Hugs!
Barb

'Evening ladies! Just a quick note - gotta get my son in the tubby - he decided that he wanted to wear his peaches on his little tow-head So I sent him with daddy, now I hear him crying he must've bonked his head.

paperdoll - which casino do you like to go to? Don't work too hard this next week!

steph - good luck @ the dentist

Lucky & Terri - I would to see you guys roll around MOA on your huge a$$ green balls I made the mistake - once and only once - of bringing my girls there to school shop in August! NEVER, EVER again!!!!!!! So, I'm with ya Lucky - definately, NOT in August. I'm about 1 1/2 hours from MOA . . .

Barb - you could always get another big a$$ green ball up here, then ya woulnd't have to travel with it I personally would pay money to see a bunch of crazy women doing that

Talked to my Mom - Grampa is on his way out - will probably be tonight so if you don't hear from me for a few days, don't think I've forgotten you

I want to THANK YOU ALL for making me feel so welcome - I know I've said it before but I have to say it again and again. You all have been such an unforseen blessing in the last couple of weeks. Thanks!!!!!

Terri, Eagan's too far away. The traffic is awful on Cedar.

BarbPA that would be fun if you could come too.

By the way, do you all like to shop? Depending on your level of shopping the Mall takes more than one day to cover!!!! If you just want to walk around, one day can do it but if you want to check out all of the anchor stores, Macy's, Sears, Bloomingdale's and Nordstoms it takes longer.

All this talk of the Mall - I am getting teary eyed - I miss it!!!!

I have a wedding on July 31st so I couldn't be there then and I have a concert to go to on July 18th so that day is out too. Geez for someone who is usually raking and sawing I seem to be pretty busy in July!!!

It is pretty here in the fall - well, September - after that there could be snow at anytime.

Back from the dogwalk and it was great.

Ingrid and Blue - you are doing so awesome! Very inspiring!

Okay, you've scared me off of MOA in August.

I'm outta here for tonight! Good night!
