Hi girls! I believe this will be my last check-in before leaving in the morning. I've got all of my 7 jobs done and my 7 reports that go with them. Guess you know what I did tonight.

That and a bunch of laundry. And of course of all nights I dropped something in the laundry tub so when I went down to hang up clothes I found the basement flooded. YIKES! Like I didn't have enough to do. Oh well, #1 son came down and helped me with the shop vac and the de-humidifier is running to help dry the place out. Only a couple of "clean" pieces have to be re-washed.

Well, my pretties, I managed to take a minute to myself today too and got my second hole in my ears pierced. Glad I didn't save it until "fun" friday as it was NOT fun!!! OUCH!!! It sure felt like she had poked a hole big enough to drive that freight train through! But it's done now, so I guess I'll live with it, eh???

No time for replies tonight but I have to say:
Michelle: I waited until after midnight to post especially for you.
Happy Birthday, to you!
Happy Birthday, to you!
Happy Birthday, dear Michelle!
Happy Birthday, to you! and many more!
Hope you have a great day!

I will see all of you when I return. Hold down the fort. Love ya bunches!

Michelle....
Happy birthday to you...
Happy birthday to you ...
Happy birthday dear Michelle...
Happy birthday to youuuuuuu !!!!!

I hope your day is the BEST !!!!

Thin... I hope you have a GREAT trip. I am soooo jealous !!!
When I come to Michigan in October I may have to go there myself.
Check out any specials they may be offering.
hey... it is snowing in October there?? When is the fall foliage in Mich ???

Ingrid... you are on a roll. It is my dream to be under 300 again.
I remember MANY years ago.. a close friend asked me... "What would be hitting bottom for you?"... and I said... "I don't know.. maybe hitting 300lbs." Who would have dreamt that now my goal is to be 300lbs.

pat... don't work too hard for the next 8 days. I hope you can still peek in and post often.

Steph... Don't be too fearful of having your wisdom teeth pulled. All three of my kids had theirs out in their early 20's and they all did GREAT. I cut my wisdom teeth when I was 22 at the same time my son was cutting his first teeth. LOL

Lucky.. glad to hear your get together went well. Did the guys cook???
Is the weather colder in Minnesota than in Michigan.. and sooner???
I assume October is SNOW in Minn ???

Terri... I am glad to hear you like the Staybridge. There is also Springhill Suites by the Marriot... but I don't know what they charge.

Barbara... That was soooo sweet when your former student remembered you for his graduation. You must have made a good impression on this young man's life. You should feel proud.

Lisa... my prayers are with you and your family. I lost both of my parents last year and I can remember all too well those last days. We will be waiting for your return.

Okay friends... a quick update on my sister.
She is doing good. She had a doctor appointment today and he is pleased with her progress. She goes to another doctor next Tuesday and they will test her blood to see what her counts are now. They do want to test her for sleep apnea. (sp?)

Okay.. it is 2am and I have been reading and typing since Midnight so I have got to get off of here.
Terri.. did you see the American Idol special tonight.??
I liked getting to hear them sing "their" favorite song with NO JUDGING.
I think they all did a good job tonight.
George is going to Oklahoma University but is not from Oklahoma. I was surprised he did not mention his home state. I think he may have a thing for Jennifer.
Did you know that the hair dresser for American Idol is also from Okla ???
Do you have a favorite? My husband loves Diane. He likes a little meat on his gals. LOL
I did not like her shirt tonight. It was not flattering for her stomach.
But I did love the Hawaiian girls blouse. Darn... what is her name? Is she Camille or is the other one ?? I HATE losing my memory. LOL

Good morning ladies!

I'm cheerfully up and have done my general conditioning workout. I have a dentist appt at 8 so I don't have much time left.

Michele - Happy Birthday!

Thin - Have a great time! I have an earring in the top part of my ear along with two holes in the lobe. And yes they hurt!! How do people do all those other piercings???

2Cute - I only saw part of American Idol tonight since we didn't know it was on until after halfway. From what I saw, they were really good. And yes Diana's got a bit of pudge in the tummy area and that top didn't help at all. Jasmine is the other gal. I thought the last gal (I can remember Jasmine but not her name) who sang "Somewhere" was awesome.

Here's my tip of the day. Get up and move. MOVE IT! MOVE IT! MOVE IT!

Have a great day!

Terri.. I remembered Jasmine's name as soon as I signed off. LOL
It just wasn't worth getting back online for. LOL The last singer was Latoya. I think she is the best overall and continuously best singer. I miss Jennifer. She kept getting better and better. But I don't think she could win... people didn't seem to like her.

Thin... I forgot to mention your EARS !!! You are braver than me. LOL
I had my ears pierced as a teenager sitting on a bed with a needle and thread.
I remember it as if it was yesterday. It wasn't all too smart. LOL
I won't do that again. LOL

Okay ... NO procrastination today !!!!!! I am going to go get busy.
But first TUESDAY TIP !!!!
Put your recovery FIRST !!!! There is always time for what comes first in your life.

Morning! Just two cents worth about the ear piercing. I had my first holes done for my 15th birthday. My cousin did them with a needle and a potato and ice cubes to freeze them. My girlfriend was going to do these second ones for me with a needle, but she said it was easier to just go have them done at a store with the gun. haha She knew what she was doing. One stick with the needle and I'd have been telling her to forget it!

Gotta run. See ya'll when I get back. Love ya bunches.

I didn't use a potato or ice... I used clip clothes pins. OUCH !! That should have told me if this pain is LESS than the needle... I shouldn't be doing it. Duh !!
Thin... I think I was somewhere between 13-15.
Kat... I don't know what the potato was used for either. ?????
Possibly it was used like a cutting board. LOL Hold the potato up to the back of the ear and when the needle stuck into it then you could grip the potato instead of trying to hang on to a slippery needle to pull it through. ???
That string we used back then had to be soooo sterile... NOT !!!! I remember having to soak it with alcohol or peroxide or something all the time.
KIDS !!!

Hey, Thin that's how I got my first two holes IN MY EARS!!! Mind out of the gutter, Chicks. Ice and potatoe's.

I ended up with 9 holes in my ears over the years but have left some close up. I got older and lazy - looking for enough earings every day was exhausting.

I went to the jewelry store for all but one of my "holes" Once I let my sisters friend try to pierce my ear (on the upper part) with a piercing gun that her beautician mom had. I tell you, it got sooooooooooo infected I had to let it close. I think right now I have about 8 of them that are open. I'm with you, Lucky, I'm too busy too look for earrings in the morning I leave the one in on top of my ear, but that's it.

dixiedarlin - another person to provide insight into Dr. Phil will be great

kat - haven't you heard of the potato thing to pierce an ear? I tried it once and almost passed out that's when I decided to have a pro do it

My Grampa did pass away early this morning so now I have a ton of things to do. Will it be bad if I don't wear a dress to the funeral???? I really hate wearing dresses

can't think of a tip for today, either. So, everyone just have a wonderful day!

Thanks for the Birthday wishes everyone! Now if only JOHN WOULD REMEMBER!! He's so concerned about not forgetting mother's day that he will never remember what day it is!! He was even going to go to a ballgame tonight if his friend got tickets! Lucky for him right now he is still at work!

Anyways....I picked the boy up at daycare on my way home and we stopped at Target. We are doing the potty training thing still and we needed more undies...we got more spongebob ones of course and also a 3 pr of bob the builder. Now if he would just go potty on his own! He knows how to do it and he stands there and goes when we drag his hiney into the bathroom and MAKE him go! When does it ever end?????

Well, $40 later and $10 cash back we stopped at Wendy's on the way home...the glutton I am..but the boy was hungry and it was getting late afterall! Now I feel like a total loser when it comes to this diet thing...I was good all day!! I'm sure I'll get it again eventually!! I'm not giving up...I know I did it once and I can do it again!

So enough babbling now...I'll catch up with you all later...I have to go get stuff ready for tomorrow so I can watch american idol and the gilmore girls inbetween! I think Luke and Loreli are getting together FINALLY!

TTFN Love you guys! Oh and BTW Barb...thanks for the card! That was such a nice surprise...you are such a sweetheart!!

I've felt good today. With this stupid Sjs the good days are fewer and futher between. So I'm really taking advantage of the good day.

I've been OP all day too!
