Default New Here

Hi! I am new to this site. Found it looking for the miracle diet, diet pill, diet drink, or whatever potion I could find.

I am 34. I lost a lot of weight 60 some pounds about 7 years ago. I had pretty much kept it off and was very happy.

Then I got divorced, remarried, and then pregnant. My husband is a sweetheart. Says he loves me no matter what. And encourages eating like a pig. Anyway, throughout my pregnancy we ate for 6. And I put on a ton of weight.

Now I have no clothes that fit and I am very sad. I have been putting off getting into a health mode and cutting out the junk and fast food for almost a year now while I search for the miracle cure.

Now I want to get it in gear and take off this weight forever. I know I will always have to work at having the body I want but in reality I think most people do.

I would love to give and get support from fellow dieters.

I hope to be posting some great results in the near future and hope to become a part of this supportive community.

Take care

Red face

Isn't that what we have all done - put it off until one day you look in the mirror and say this HAS to change? That's what I did anyways... Always talking about how I was unhappy with myself and making excuses for not doing anything about it, until last month when I finally said enough is enough and sucked it up and joined Curves...

I'm glad that you decided to just do it and not keep looking for the "miracle cure" as many of those pills are dangerous. I look forward to reading about your success! Just remember to focus on the small steps not the big goal all at once (It will help you stay on track without getting discouraged) Think about what you have done and not have much you have left to do and reward yourself for your efforts!

Smile Thanks for the encouragement

Jenn,

Thanks for the encouragement. I appreciate it. You are right, I need to focus on the small steps and not just the end result. Maybe that will help. Good luck to you. How is Curves working out for you? Once you have done something for a month you have a good foundation.

Take care

Hi finding myself
I too am new here....just tonight in fact. I share your thoughts about the initial 'weigh'in'. I haven't stepped on those springs in about 2 years now...just went with how my clothes felt. (And at the moment....a tad tight)
If you need a buddy let me know. I am still trying to navigate around this site so I may be slow.
Take care

Curves is working good...It's up beat and all women (which rocks)...and before you know it you are done with your workout... I have been going 3-4 times a week since March 9th so I'd say the foundation is laid
