Smile Hi, I am new.

Hello everyone,
I am new to this site. Actually I used to come on here a few years ago when there was about 1500 members but fell off the 3FC wagon. I am an avid weightlifter and competitor but I struggle with staying away from the goodies. Obviously, eating garbage isn't conducive to building muscle or staying trim. It is nice to see a special thread devoted to bodybuilders and the diet issues that go along with that. I am a married mother of 2.
I would like to lose about 10 pounds and keep it off (as opposed to losing it again and again. It's only 10 pounds, but I could stand to lose it and could easily keep it off if I ate 'clean' 80% of the time, instead of 20% of the time.

I look forward to reading the posts on here.

Hi CJ ! We have an official LWL greeter - our own Ilene - but she may be tied up with Easter preparations. Plus she's doing double workouts in the gym for both herself and me, since I'm off for a few weeks. So I'll say "welcome" - we're so glad you found us.

I love your name and to lift also. You're definitely in the right spot and I think you'll discover that the eating is the hard part for all of us. We have a weekly thread where we talk about all sorts of things and you're welcome to jump in there and say hi and tell us some more about yourself. Are you currently a competitor? How long have you been lifting?

You might also want to check out the Maintainers Forum, one below the LWL. We have some great discussions there about keeping the weight off forever that we've worked so hard to lose. Like you said, who wants to have to keep losing the same 10 pounds over and over again?

Amen, sistah Ilene -- don't know what I'd do without all of youse guys.

Ohhh, glad we had a good workout today ... I'm missing the gym SO much. Thinking of ab exercises that I can do without involving my arms and legs ...
