Hi everyone, I was just wondering something... I came in this morning & saw that no one had replied to my post yesterday (New & need a Buddy). Did I say something wrong, or what? I noticed that there are 2 posts that just came in & between them, like 90 replies! I guess I got my feelings hurt. I know things aren't 'all about me' but if it had not been for one lady emailing me, I would have had zero feedback to my post. I really like reading all the posts and have just started replying to some.... I came looking for encouragement and advice, but it seems no one was there for me. Any ideas on why? Is it just me? I guess I'm feeling "apart from" instead of "a part of" --

HI Stef, glad you found this site, I'm new here too, and I posted a thread that got no feed back at all, made me wonder what I said wrong. BTW, I finally deleted that thread.
But remember, I'm ok and your ok, so thats something, and it takes time to
find people in the same boat so maybe we need to find quality not quanaty.

I am sorry you felt bad. I have been around a little while I usually just a lurker though and I have noticed that quite often the buddy forum doesn’t get much reply. I think it is because usually everybody looking there is new here. I had the same results as you did. If you want to get to know people I would really jump into some other areas on this site where the people who really post here are lurking and I think you will get quite a bit more replies.

hi there im quite new her too as when i came on here at first i didnt have a clue about anything i found a thread that had some interest to me and just introduced myself but as for buddys i never have enough and if you want you can talk to me anytime but im not all that clued up about dieting ins and outs so i just ask but if its just for a blether im here and my emails in my profile and as im disabled im always online and sorry i missed you yesterday i normally try and reply to as many as i can but i was having a very busy day and was just plain knackered hope to speak to you soon

I'm sure it's nothing you said. I think alot of times people are looking for responses to their own posts and may not give the new posts the attention they deserve but it's never done intentionally. If you browse around you'll see how great everyone here is. I've been posting for over a month or so now and there are still threads I jump into that I don't feel apart of right away. But I go back and read and learn about others and post again and they respond. So kick it around and find a post of interest and step in. Your always welcome everywhere on 3fc.

when i first posted on the buddy thread, i think my first one got maybe a hi, welcome( not *****ing here) sometimes i pop in to the buddy thread but more often than not i am somewhere else.sorry that you felt discouraged. maybe just browse and find a place where you think you might enjoy. i love the alternachicks, but i know there are many groups around.
