I was sitting here pondering, with a ton of laundry to do, and putting it off how you picked your online name.
Now some are easy to figure out, while some are trickier.
Mine: My first name starts with an L, thus the L
My maiden name is Gross, thus the 144 ( a dozen dozen is a Gross) and may married name starts with an S
That is a pretty interesting way to pick your name!
My is Miss D--my name is Misty--miss d-misty -miss d -misty
sound kindof the same??
And my last name starts with D--so Miss D
I know-not real creative--but that is it!!
Mine is a long story...ole Alivn gave it to me. When DH & I were trying to decide what we wanted to be when we grew up (about 5 years ago at age 50!)We started two businesses. We cme up with the name AGE standing for Alvin Gumpert Enterprises (he ws the one unemployed at the time) the two businesses were the antique store, and the Mustang parts. The mustang parts started a a sideline to help us eat while trying to sell antiues, nd it was run out the back door of the antique shop. We sat up an AOL account that allowed 5 email accounts: one was Age Antiques, the 2nd Age Classic Design (the mustans stuff) then one was agesales that DH used for the mustang parts, one was foor our son Markk who helped us, and the last one was the one I used mainly for the antique stuff and it was ageoldies. Somewhere along the line the "s" fell off and I became known as ageoldie!!!
Just a footnote to the story, for thoses of you wh haven't heard it many time before, the Mustang parts took off and outgrew the antique store building, so we moved and closed the antique store, and 5 years later we are doing a fantastic business and have bought our own building and now employ a total of 12 employees. God has been good to us.
Mine is one of those easy-to-figure-out nics! lol I have owned and loved those silly, spotted doggers for a VERY long time! My first was Naughty Girl and I always refer to her as my 'firstborn' since I got her before I had my kids. After she passed on 5 years ago, I became deeply involved in Dal Rescue and we now have two that we adopted out of rescue.
I actually use this nic or something like it"Spotdog, MsSpotdog, Spotty", etc. for my sign-on name nearly everywhere on the internet
hmmmmm when my grandson was born, I became "samsgrandma" and then his sister came along and I never changed it -- however, 2 months ago, when my 3rd grandchild came along - it definitely became time for a change! I had changed careers and become a sonographer (some people call it sono tech) , so .... again, no rocket science here.... sonogranny became my new name!
