Thanks Melissa for starting our new thread.
I always love it when others do that too.
I left a short brief message on the old thread before I knew you started the new one so I am not going to repeat myself here. I need to get going and get my day started.

Tuesday TIP ....

DRINK YOUR WATER !!!!!!!
Eat your veggies
Do some sort of exercise above and beyond your everyday stuff.
Feed your mind healthy thoughts as well as your body healthy food.

My Tuesday Tip is to work for someone other than your Husband and Son!!!
Seriously work has been a killer for the last two months. I thought after the loan went through, things would get better, WRONG Last week went pretty well at the new plant, they produced about 13 parts and everyone was happy. This week three employee quit, one went to jail and we have orders running out our ears we can't fill yet, so the customers are getting irate and wanting to cancel, DH & Son are at the plant all the time, leaving me to "RUN" things here at the office!!! And did I mention that DH calls from his cell phone about every 30 minutes to see what I'm doing, and will I do this and this for him!

I need a break! I think I'll buy a plane ticket to Oklahoma for April!

Hi ladies. Happy Tuesday.

Nothing much going on here. Things at work are pretty much always the same. One of my employees quit yesterday (which is a good thing) so the stress level should go down a lot for me because he was my main stress lately. I'm actually having a good day because of it, horrible as that may sound. The prior manager (I took over in Aug) should have and threatened to fire him lots of times but never did so I inherited problems. Age, I'm sorry that things are so stressful for you and your family on the work front. I'm sure all the kinks will get worked out and things will get back to normal. What is it that you do? (If you don't mind my asking).

Barb, I'm glad that your surgery has been scheduled so soon!!! You must be so excited. (Not about the surgery but about the IVF, lol).

On a dieting front I'm doing great! As I said before I have no idea why I'm doing so well or able to stick to it this time but I'm very glad and seeing results makes me even more determined. I haven't really had any days in the 9 1/2 weeks I've been dieting that I've felt like giving up. I feel better physically because I'm getting so much more nutrients in my body and being lighter makes me feel physically better as well. I know you all know what I'm talking about.

That's about it for now. Hope you all have a great day!

Ingrid

So I get a call back for a job..we play phone tag for nearly a week..finally she calls me this morning and i answer..and she tells me that they're looking for someone with more "office experience." This really sends me because everyone knows that "office experience" is so vague and generic...I could just spit bullets!! (She was really condescending to me, about how most of my custumer service experience comes from retail). It was funny because she called me "Martha" despite having my resume right there. Actually it was more like "hello M-Martha? Me-...what is it?" I wanted to ask her what exactly one gains from working in an office two years...because it didn't seem to be helping her one bit(no offense to office workers, but get real....if our computer skills are above average, and we can multi task and work with other people...what else is there? Making copies? Fetching coffee?? I think you can learn all there is to learn about the "office environment" by working there for summer jobs...which I have..grah!! <--- that is exactly how I felt on the phone.

PS: Still wondering about tips for lower back pain...or perhaps some stories to make me feel like there are others who have gone through it I'm wondering if I should see a chiropracter instead of an MD.

Hey girls. Sorry I got so far behind. I swear I put a post up explaining that I was ill. I have terrible acid reflux. I have been very sick with it, especially the last two weeks. I ended up pleading with my doctors office to move up my appointment, and after hearing what was going on they let me in. I was really fortunate. I got it taken care of hopefully. I don’t feel much better yet but I am also not in any real pain which is good.

Ah well. On the upside. I lost 15 pounds! It’s been two weeks. The doctor says once I hit 400 lbs it will get even better. I am happy.

Age: Hope things get better for you on the work front!

Ingrid: Glad you got rid of that jerk. Right on! High five for the dieting success!

Miss: Ew, that sucks. You tell em!

Have a great week everyone. Big hugs!

Sincerely,
Blue

Hi Ladies!
What's happening? I hope everyone is having a great night! All is well here. DH and I had an appt. with our RE today and all went well. I am good to go for tomorrow procedure and the next steps of the process. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. I am not allowed to eat or drink anything (not even water) after midnight and my surgery is not until 2:15. I am going to be one hungry gal by tomorrow night! I have a big cup of water sitting next to me and 1 hour to finish it off! Not sure how I will feel tomorrow night but I'll try to get in here for a quick update.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SYN!!!
I hope you had a wonderful day!!

Melissa - Sorry about the job. Hopefully that means something better is going to come along! Sorry - I can't help you with the lower back pain problem. I hope you find something to help.

Blue - Congratulations on the 15 pounds lost so far! Keep up the great work! I hope you feel better soon!

Barb.g - Whew! Sounds like you have a lot to juggle working with your family. I think a trip to OK is definately in store! I wish I could be there with you!

A big Hello and hugs to everyone!!!
Talk to you tomorrow!
Love Ya!
Barb

It's nearly midnight, so....

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
May the luck of the Irish be with you!

Happy Birthday to you ...
Happy Birthday to you ...
Happy Birthday dear Syn...
Happy Birthday to youuuuuu !!!!!

I sure hope you had a wonderful day.

Batb.g ... {{{HUGS}}} I feel for you sweetie. I hope it all straightens out for you guys soon. I hear it takes a long time to get a new business to iron out it's problems... hopefully yours work out sooner rather than later.
Hop on a plane... get behind the wheel .... any way you come ... I will have open arms waiting for you.

Ingrid... Glad that you had your problem child quit. Congrats. LOL
I loved your quote....

More nutrients... it is such a key to success.

MissMeliss...I am sorry to hear you did not get the job. Please don't take it too personal. You never know what they are hunting for... all you can do is apply and then accept what happens. It is that old saying... "Not enough experience but no one will hire you to get it"
I have been to a chiropractor and they have done wonders for me and my family members. It is worth a try.

Blue... CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!! 15lb loss is awesome.
I am glad the doctor got you in for your acid reflux. Take good care of yourself.

BarbPA.... You will be in my thoughts tomorrow. I wish you the best on your surgery. I was surprised to hear you will be home tomorrow night.
Thanks for reminding me about St Pattys Day.... I must wear green.

Okay.. I am out of here again. My daughter goes to bed early so I have to be out of here so she can sleep.

Good morning ladies!

Happy Birthday Syn!!

Blue!

Barb - You'll be in my prayers today. One step closer!! {{{hugs}}}

Howdy to everyone else!

The bathroom looks great. I got home last night and DH was grouchy about what they had accomplished - more like NOT. He said all they did was remove the kitchen wallpaper and leave. Didn't paint the bathroom but they did SOMETHING because it smelled. I walked into the bathroom, took a sniff, looked at the walls and went back to the kitchen and told him that he was dumber than dogshi* because the bathroom walls were GREEN and had been white. What a dork. I was kidding about the dumber than whatever. Sort of. I'm thrilled with it. I'm thrilled to see that wallpaper gone - it was lovely back in the early 90's but no longer for me. And it went well. Today they will paint the kitchen and hopefully be done. After seeing how well this guy paints - I told DH that I'm not ever doing it myself again.

I've done a great workout this morning between the medicine ball, curl bar, dumbbells and stability ball. Too bad I have to waste this wonderful feeling on work.

Now I must run because the painter will be here in less than an hour.

Enjoy your St. Paddy's day!

Default Top o' the morning to ya!

...even though it's the bottom of the morning at this point!

In other words...

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

My Irish songs are playing in one room, the parade is on the TV in another, and my corned beef is simmering on the stove...okay, you guessed it, I'm a wee bit Irish!

I have only a minute or two to spend here...lots to do today and my honey is coming home tonight! It's weird, we don't see each other a lot with our crazy schedules, but at least I know he's around here somewhere...I don't like him being so far from home...I MISS HIM!

Hey!! Who sent the COLD back to these here parts??? On Monday, my daffodils were just about to pop open, and now they're covered with snow. And it's FREEZING!!
Luckyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...was it you? Hmm??

I have absolutely NOTHING to report on the diet and exercise front, so we won't even go there. But congrats to all you "losers" out there!

All right, gotta get moving here...Have a grand day, all!

Happy Birthday, Syn!

Good Luck, Barb!
