Do you know what having Jiff live vicariously through me did? Got me sick! Here I was going to do the exercise for both of us and now I end up feeling like crap.

However, Jiff, we did a great back workout yesterday and have done a little elliptical today and a lot of cleaning cardio. If I can muster the energy later, I'll hop on the exercise bike in the basement and pedal a bit.

Hope the doc can get you fixed up and feeling better soon. Remember, pretzels have no medicinal value !

Whose bright idea was it for me to talk to my trainer and tell him I wasn't getting what I wanted to get out of our sessions?

He showed me! he worked my bottom into the ground, and I'm still not recovered! We did 30 minutes of a total body weight WO and 30 minutes on the Bike, then I went for my hour water Pilates class!

And Pookie!!! I did do my Oxycise last night, but I forgot to measure, Maybe tonight?

Hi guys, Just when I was thinking, "gotta get off my butt and exercise" I read these posts and

Lets here those positives again. I need motivation. I'd also like to take a few days off but not on my back. Seriously though, Luna, I hope your back is feeling better and Jiff and Meg feel better soon.
Barb, do you think the personal trainer is worth it? I'm thinking spending the bucks my be just the motivation I need.

Sorry to just pop in like this and jabber away. Haven't been here in a while but I miss you all.

donna.. i've been wondering where you've been!!! and barb.. ummmm. no one here can take the responsibility for that conversation, you poor thing. trainers have a way of, shall we say, raising the bar for us? and that's why we pay them, but we DO expect to walk afterwards. don't we???

and poor meg... instead of me living through you, it sounds like the opposite happened!!! glad you're up and around. i'm still not. the doc sent me for a chest x ray and changed my meds. and i'm finally breathing a little easier. will take a walk tomorrow, if i feel at least like this. i can always sleep afterwards.

and poor luna... is all this running around keeping up with john wearing you out???? or did you hurt your back doing OTHER things that i'm too young to know about??????

Donna, yes I think the trainer is worth it. I'm one of these people who have great intentions and then never seem to follow through. I walk 3x a week because I'm making my Mother do it, I do water aerobics because everyone at the health club will nag me if I don't, but I couldn't make myself lift weights or work out on the machines, so I pay this cute little thing to entertain me while I'm busting my butt. Yes, I think it's worth it.

LOL! Boy I Wish!

Lifting Weights is how I hurt my back, and I do know better! I have had problems in the past with my stupid back, I knew I was pushing it but at the time it did not seem THAT bad. Oh, until I tried to roll over in bed the next night and could not even lift my own head off the pillow! OUCH!

I am NOT ignoring your thread, Jiff! how the heck could anyone ignore you! I can hear the buzz over in Low Carb and SBD.

You will be pleased to know that I signed up for the May 30 Walk for Multiple Sclerosis along with my chubby furry kid, Hershey. We are going to start training tomorrow morning. I even bought expensive walking shoes. So there!

Well, I know I can do 10 K (6 miles) but chubby Hershey may find that too far. We are going to work up to it gradually over the next few weeks. It may have to be 5K if she gets winded.

Well I have joined the YMCA, they now have a "closed" women's weight room, so we don't have to work out with the men watching us and I presume the skinney minnies also. I haven't gone yet, though. I went back to work last Monday and have been running ever since. I think though that I have done something to my neck and back. I have been having headaches that I thought were sinus, but the tylenol sinus dont' help, but I can get some relief by the way I hold my head or neck. I don't know if it is the stress of going back to work or what.

But my goal is to go the the Y at least three times next week, starting Monday!
