Angry

Well I have spent 20 minutes trying to find that stupid post I made about cleaning the kitchen for my husband to wallpaper. I could not find it... then finally decided the post I LOST is probably the one I am hunting for.
WHAT I MEANT WAS.... My dh would use the kitchen to stretch out the paper and cut and glue the bathroom wallpaper. LOL The bathroom is VERY SMALL and he needed room in the kitchen to work in. LOL After the last 2 days... I will NEVER have him paper again. I respect my marriage too much to put us both through that again. I hope I cleared that up.

But I did find this quote of mine.... I am surprised no one caught it....
Quote:
I still want to clobber your DH for some of the STUPID stuff he did. Grrrr
Clobber YOUR DH

My grandbaby's birthday was very nice. I did not eat too much but did have some cake. I got a headache immediately. I am GLAD. That just shows me what effect sugar has on me when I stay away from it.

Now I am out of time to post any real stuff. LOL
See you all in the morning.

Hi Girls -
Just popping in for a super quick post. My nails are wet and it's tough to type! Busy, busy day here - I got my hair highlighted - love it! I have started going to a new girl and she seems great - expensive, but I like her.

While I was out today DH went and bought himself a recumbent (sp?) bike - he decided to put it upstairs in the computer room so he will be more encouraged to use it. I'm so proud of him!

Kat - I went shopping today for our first week (actually it's not officially starting til Wed. since DH is in NYC the next 2 days). The biggest problem I am going to have it that I don't like a lot of veggies. I am trying to experiment and find things I like. I do like salads so I'll be eating a lot of lettuce. Chix is my other fav. DH wants me to try cooking fish - I don't eat fish, but I'll try. This is going to be tough and interesting.

Jen - My thoughts are with you! Big Hugs!

Well, gotta go crawl in bed...more tomorrow!

Sweet Dreams!

Good morning!

It's time to get up and get moving!! Make this your best OP day yet. Find something to do to keep active. Burn those weekend calories off.

Yesterday afternoon, I tried my new pilates for the back DVD. I can feel it this morning. I need to do that more often. I also did 30 minutes on the airdyne. This morning, I did a new "Conditioning Routine" that I got from this new book I got, Getting Stronger. I didn't really do anymore than I used to do but I can really feel like I have done something this morning. Maybe I had gotten so used to doing my old set of exercises that they were no longer effective. I'll have to mix it up.

Have a great day, ladies!

Hey chickies!

Well, so far so good on the food today, mostly because I just haven't had time to eat LOL. Busy, busy, busy. But that's what I like about the weekdays. I'm busy enough that it isn't as hard to stay on track. Weekends always get me.

As for exercise, boy did I get that today. I did 15 minutes on the bike first thing this morning, but then I went food shopping. I had to make 6 TRIPS up all those stairs to get it all up to my apartment. I was pretty good and tired by the time I got done. Then once I had it all put away, it was time to put my coat back on and walk over to the school to get the kids.

I want to thank all you gals again for your love and support. I'm feeling a bit more positive today. I'm pretty tough and can usually handle things, but sometimes it all just catches up and I fall apart. I ran into two ladies today who's husbands came home last night and of course that's all they can talk about. I am happy for them. Just wish they wouldn't brag so much. I'll just have to get used to it cuz the guys will be rotating home from now until May. I just have to wait until May. No biggie. I can make it.

Anyhoo, gotta go get my munchkin girl out of the bathtub and get my son going on his homework. Another busy day awaits me tomorrow.

Talk at ya later,
jen

Argh --- someone just put out a tray of brownies and rice krispy treats at work!! Instead of even contemplating a bite I decided to come here - to my safe, happy place for a moment.....

I know that was a quick moment --- but I have to get back to work. I've decided to take a personal day tomorrow so that means I have even more to finish today....

Later Chicks!

Hey everyone

You know the biggest problem with not posting here as often as I like? I can't remember what I've told you about and what I haven't! So, I might end up repeating myself a bit, but here goes.

Right now I'm sitting waiting for the phone to ring. I called boss #2 (the one who gives me hives!) to ask if I'm supposed to come in and work today or not. I haven't been to work for him since Jan. 29th. He was out of town on business, and I guess he wants to be in more direct control of my actions in the office? Whatever. The biggest problem with not working for him that long a period of time is that I NEED THE MONEY! So, a place that I applied at a while ago (the one that I thought blew me off by not giving me a new interview) called up and wants me to work full time. The hours are 10 hour graves, 4 shifts a week, that work perfectly opposite the days I work my other job. It is even perfectly located. They are about 1 mile from my house. I didn't even hesitate in taking the position. Problem is, since boss #2 hasn't called me back to come in, I haven't been able to give notice. I am soooo nervous about quitting, you don't even know. I just don't have much practice at this.

Now, I know there are a couple of odd hour shift types around here, and I need some practical advice. For one, how do you plan meals? Two, when do you exercise? The timing of when to eat meals is really bugging at me. I don't want to get home in the mornings and eat breakfast and go straight to bed. If I don't get straight to bed though, I won't be able to get in enough sleep before the girls are home from school. I don't want to be sleeping away the precious little time I do have with them. As far as exercise, I was thinking that I could wait until the girls get home and zoom off then as soon as I get them settled in and they are doing their homework. Now, if any of you have an idea of how to work this out, I would love your input.

I need this job to work for me in a lot more ways than money. They are looking to sell the business at job #1, and the company buying us out is not very likely to keep the accounting dept. That would mean losing my insurance. This new job offers full benefits after 3 months. Since I haven't been diagnosed with anything as of yet, it will hopefully not be too hard to get them to pay for the biopsy? I don't know how that works. I'm basically crossing my fingers and praying that this will all work out the way it is supposed to. I'm going to sit back, do my thing to the best of my ability, and remember that worrying it all to death is wasted energy.

TADA! Now you have a bit more of a catch up into the life of Andria.

BTW, when I called boss #2, he said he was on the other line and would call me back as soon as he was done. That call was made almost an hour and a half ago. This guy is such a loser! Funny thing is, I can almost bet that when he calls he will make it out to be my fault somehow. I am so glad to have another job waiting for me. Right now I'm mostly annoyed because I wanted to go on a nice walk and go down and get a WI, but I can't because I'm waiting by the phone like some sort of lapdog. BLAH!

Hi Everyone!
I am winding down at work and getting ready to head home - just thought I'd stop in for a few minutes first. It's been a pretty good day here - my first day following the South Beach Plan - it's not all that different that what I have been doing all alone - biggest thing is cutting out some additional carbs. Not sure what I am going to do for exercise today - I think I may try out DH's new bike. I want to do some major housecleaning tonight and tomorrow - it really needs it. I have a Dr. appt. tomorrow at 3, so I just decided to take the whole day off. I'll go to the gym in the morning and then clean. I want to paint my bathroom this weekend so I'd like to get the house clean first.

Andria - Did boss #2 ever call you back? Congrats on getting the new/better job!! I can't help you with the night shift thing.

Mary - Have a great trip!

Terri - Thanks for the morning motivation!! I hope you are having a good day!

Jen - I don't envy you carrying groceries up - 6 times! Yikes! I remember our first apt - we lived on the 3rd floor and grocery shopping was the worst! Sounds like you are having a little better day --- May is just around the corner! Hang in there! Just think how fit you will be when hubby gets home!

2cute - The post goblins are sure after you lately! Next time I look decent I'll get hubby to take a picture --- I'm hoping to have a new progress picture soon - waiting till I hit the 50 pound mark!

Speaking of --- I recall our little friend Pam hitting the 50+ mark not so long ago --- where oh where has our little Pammy gone????

I could say that for many ---- I hope that those of you that are lurking are doing well. Please don't hesitate to pop in for support, hugs, congrats, etc.!!

That's it for now -- gotta go battle traffic!

I had a really busy day today and this is the first chance I've even had to check in and read the posts. I went to my Rheumatologist today and he is putting me on two new pills. Soon I'm going to have to build a bigger bathroom just to hold all my medicine!! And since My doctor's appointment was early this morning, I didn't get to go to the health club!!!

Barb Isn't it fun to get a new look? I need to get my colored again, all the roots are showing!

JenMy favorite saying is "hang in there" and I'll tell you that too. It will be May before you know it, and by the time hubby gets home you'll be way below the 100 pounds down. Keep up the good work.

2CuteRemind me when I see you to tell you the story of my DH's last experience with wallpapering. It was at least 20 years ago!

Terri Do you have a little yellow costume to wear while you are being our cheerleader? You are always so upbeat and I nead to be cheered on most of the time.

Andrea I can't imagine working two jobs! Did you ever hear for Boss#2? How are you getting along with Boss #1 after you had your talk with him?

Mary Where are you going? Have a great trip.

Everyone else Have a great day tomorrow, and stay active!

Hi gang,

Anyone catch Dr Phil today? He did weight interventions. One lady weighed 611 pounds - one leg along was 225. Her despair and hopelessness is so sad. I hope that he is able to help her.

I got 45 minutes in on the spinner tonight. I should be able to make my goal of being able to ride 60 minutes in a session.

Barb - Good job on your first day on SBD. I had headaches the first three days and then felt great. Your menu on the other thread looked good. Lunches are my hardest part.

Jen - I'm a little late but I wanted you to know how much I appreciate the sacrifices that your husband and you are making for our country. Keep your spirits up. Keep exercising as that will help with the down times.

2Cute - Interesting body reaction to the sugar. Now, just remember that the next time you think about falling off program! I had to laugh about your quote - I saw that when you originally posted and chuckled. You are such a busy gal.

Okay, I better get off here. Hello to everyone!!! Good night!

Angry

Well I am sitting here with hurting legs, and butt again.
I babysat all day... then met my hubby for dinner in town ... then went shopping for 3 hours.... BOY do I hurt.

I do not like my light fixture I bought for my bathroom. Actually I like the fixture okay... I don't like the globes on it. I priced new ones to replace them and about choked !!!! They want as much for replacement globes as for the entire fixture.

I must say... the wallpaper turned out great. Once it dried the bottom paper no longer showed thru at all. The bubbles disappeared.. and those holes my husband didn't fix well.... only two barely show. My little tears dried up well too. Most people won't even notice these defects... unless I point them out. I am happy with the end result ... especially considering all the mistakes there are.

Barb... I wish you better luck with painting your bathroom. What color are you going with?? Any special style you going after? Is it a main bath or a bedroom bath? Nosey aren't I .
I understand you wanting to wait until you hit your 50lbs for an update photo... BUT ... you could do a head shot NOW so we can see your new do... and do a body shot when you hit 50. We never get tired of seeing your pretty smiling face.

Jen... You poor thing. My heart goes out to you. I too want to send my appreciation for the sacrifice your ENTIRE family makes for the rest of us.
I cannot imagine walking up soooo many stairs everyday... and I would starve if I had to carry my grocerys up. I cannot even go visit my one daughter because she lives on the second story and I can't climb stairs at all. I barely make it up the one step into my house. But it is a BIG STEP.

Joyce...I would be a TOTAL basket case if my granddaughters were in the service. I admire everyone who is capable of doing that. I just don't want my grandbabies to ever have to fight in a war.
I need to get busy on my taxes too. I have not even thought about them.

Barb.g ... I can't wait until I hear your wallpaper story. My husband told me tonight... he is OFFICIALLY RETIRED from EVER wallpapering again. LOL I have heard many times in the past that if your marriage can survive wallpapering it can survive anything. LOL

Terri... DARN!!!!! I wanted to see that Dr Phil show !!!!
I saw the preview and forgot all about it. And I was home at that time too. Grrrr That makes me soooooooo mad. If they ever have a rerun of it.. please let me know. Did anyone record it??
And lady.... I am AMAZED at your ability to spin for 45 minutes.
Anyone who can do that has all of my admiration.

Well ladies... I am going for now. Tomorrow I am ordering the wedding cake. It is going to be an Italian cake with Italian creme filling. MMMmm
I am also going to go try on a dress for me. I NEVER wear dresses... NEVER.
I found one that I think is really pretty but I am afraid of what it will look like on me. My butt is soooooo "out there". LOL
I hope the material isn't too klingy. It looks klingy in the photo.
I sure am wishing I had stayed on my diet right about now.
Oh well... no use in crying over spilt milk.
