Default Journal 10/20 - 10/26

I will be out of town part of this week, but thought I'd go ahead and get my journal started anyway. I definitely have some bad habits to break this week. Had a rough week with halloween candy and etc. I even broke my cardinal rule about snacking in front of the tv.

monday 10/20/03

exercise
40 min weights & abs
30 min cardio

breakfast
eggs = 4
bread = 1

lunch
salad = 0
parmesan = 2
chicken = 2
pasta = 4

snack
m&ms = 10 *note: this is a guess. I know what I have to do. I will throw away the remainder of the m&ms. It's amazing how they lose power once they are tossed.

dinner
pasta = 4
chicken = 2
ww brownie = 6

daily total = 35
week bank = +4

Default Thursday - back on the wagon

Some I'm back on the wagon this morning after a two day melt down that ended with me in tears in front of my husband, who is the most wonderful and supportive guy I can imagine......he's promised to get up a 5am with me three days a week and go to the gym to support me while I get back on track! I've decided to go back to what I know is in my best interest, low-carbing and watching the quality of foods that is going in my mouth. IE Not totally overdoing the fat part of it. It's a modified Atkins/Somersizing concept that has worked for me in the past. So far this is what I've had and what I'm planning on having for the rest of the day.

Breakfast: 1 egg; 2 egg whites and cheese in an omlete with no cooking oil or butter used.

Snack: celery and cream cheese sticks

Lunch: Salad from COSI with Romaine, Garganzola, Onions, Cucumbers, and Tomatoes - Italian Dressing

Snack: 2 apples

Dinner: Tuna fish salad with cucumbers, mayo, mustard, diced tomatos and celery

Hi Rabbit,
Sorry I haven't been journaling. I just totally suck at keeping track of things everyday. I'm still exercising five times a week but my eating has been wayyyy outta control. I didn't want to list everything out. I'm not sure if it's cuz I don't want to be accountable right now or if it's cuz I don't want to risk bringing anyone down with me. It was TOM this week so lets just say keep all fingers and toes away from my mouth unless you want them to get bitten.

I'll try and get with it soon!! Until then, keep setting a good example.

I have been MIA for awhile but still lurk every now and then

Allthighs - I do bascially the same thing only my plan is fashioned more from the Protein Power plan. I am in maintenance now at a size 12/10 which is fine for me. I may decide later on to lose a bit more but I am very happy with where I am. So far maintenance is a breeze. I am amazed at the amount of calories I can have and not gain on lowcarb. Here is a few examples of my menus:

B - 6 oz Dannon light and fit yogurt w/1/3 cup Fiber One cereal
2/3 cup Keto coco crispies w/1/2 cup soymilk
2 eggs over easy, 1 3-4 oz hamsteak, 2 sl lc toast w/sf jelly

L - LC noodless lasagna, salad, lite balasamic vinegar dressing
6-8 chile lime wings w/lc bbq sauce, salad
6-8 oz grilled chicken breast, mixed veggies w/1 tsp butter

S - 1 string cheese
1/2 carbwise bar
hot & spicy peanuts
sunflower or pumpkin seeds

D - any grilled meat 6-8 oz, salad or veggies
lc pizza w/italian sausage, peppers & onion
smoked sausage w/bell peppers & onion

Dessert - 1/2 cup SF ice cream
6 oz vanilla yogurt w/1/2 cup sliced strawberries

I am glad that I don't have to watch calories anymore. I did have to in order to lose. I do balance carbs with fat/calories though. If I am going to eat higher fat/calories I try to keep my carbs much lower on the those days.

Hi Rabbit and Liz!!! Rabbit - You are doing great! Keep up the good work.
