Good morning, I think!

I could have started this a 2 AM but didn't. The darn Doggage had me up then and I didn't go back. Right now it feels like afternoon but Harry is just finishing his breakfast. My life is sooooo screwed up! This will definitely be an afternoon nap day!

This morning I drove out to the Farm at 8 for eggs. What a gorgeous time of day and time of year! Our leaves are starting to turn and the world looked darn pretty. There is a soft misty look to everything at that hour. I must try for some pictures.

I went off Program yesterday - Ellis knows how - and am suffering from it today. I need to get right back on the straight and narrow so today will be a Phase 1 restart! I'll also be drinking lots of water because another nurse at the clinic is going to try to get my blood tomorrow morning. I promise I won't sneak a coffee, even if I am up really early.

What's on your plan for today?

Morning All

Woke up early today and did exercise before work. Plan to take a walk on the beach with the doggie after work. WOW walking in the sand is a lot harder Not much else planned. Got the laundry done last night. Sis is not feeling well so we have a quiet night planned. DH is working on the yard getting it ready for winter. I will attempt to make meatballs tonight as my 1 new thing a week. Enjoy this beautiful day

Good Morning Everyone: I think I am actually in time for coffee this a.m. Had to be up early for a Dr. appointment. To get the results of an echo-cardiogram last week. Prolapsed Mitral Valve is the result. Nothing has changed. have to take anti-biotics if i need any procedure done, like dentist, etc.

Ruth: good luck with the blood letting. Drink lots of waater to puff up your unruly veins. I made some more Roasted chick-pease last night, but I nearly turned them into little charred bullets. I cought them just in time, but still had to toss all the ones on the edge of the cookie sheet. And my spices were just right too.

Sflake: Bet your meatballs will be good. I envy you your walk on the beach. We have to drive about 60 miles to get to a beach.

I'm curious- does everyone experience 'carb' hangover' if they go off program?

Have a good 'Beach' day. Lizzie

Good morning Ruth and Sflake! ...and to all who join us later!

Ruth, your morning drive to the farm sounds just lovely. I would love to see photos.

Sflake, I really envy you living right there to take walks on the Beach each day! My favorite place to walk! Much harder on sand than on soil! DH and I go to our condo on the beach on Marco Island each Winter for a month, and take early morning walks each day. My favorite thing to do besides swimming!

My plan for the day is to have lunch at this new deli with some teacher friends that I retired with. That's always fun to visit with everybody to see what's going on in their lives. I have my plan for eating already mapped out (as DH and I have tried this restaurant before)......Chef salad , and passing on the fresh breads and rolls that they bring to the table in bountiful supply!!!!

Later this afternoon, I need to go to the orchard to pick apples for my grandkids in Texas. I'm getting ready for my trip this weekend.

I hope you all have a wonderful Fall day.

Hi, Lizzie!

I must have been posting at the same time as you!

Hope your tests turned out alright, and that the anti-biotics

help you. Have a good day!

Hugs to all......

Good Morning Everyone!

Ruth - your description of your morning drive sent me into daydream land! Sounds completely beautiful!

Sflake - wow, it must be so nice to walk on the beach. How lucky you are!

Lizzie - your roasted chickpeas sound very interesting! How do you do them? I have MVP, too. I figure twice a year when I go to the dentist, with the antibiotics, I'm getting rid of any other bad stuff that might be hanging around, too!

My plan for today: Day 2 of Phase 1 for the first time. I can't believe I didn't eat any carbs yesterday. I'm not sure if a day has ever gone by before without them! But I did it! I made lunches last night (mine and DH), so all my food is set until dinner. I think I'm going to make veggie meatballs on spaghetti squash, with some sort of tomato sauce.

I was wondering if I can use a jarred sauce that is only 50 cal per serving, and contains 3 g of sugars (8 g carbs total)? - if not, I'll use fresh tomatoes and jazz them up.

I'm also going to go to the gym, I hope to do about 30 minutes on the treadmill. Not as nice as the beach, but I don't mind the treadmill the way some people do.

Have a great day!

Good morning ladies!

It feels great to be back at 3FC's. I sure missed everybody while I was away. Now that my phone and DSL problems are corrected (I hope) I can finally post here again.

I restarted Phase 1 again yesterday, as I gained a few pounds back. I noticed that some of you have also restarted P1 this week so I'm in good company.

My plans for today are to get some painting and exercise done.
I also need to try and catch up on the past few days posts.

Ruth, 2 am? I'd say you definitely deserve a nice long nap this afternoon. Your drive to the farm sounds nice, peaceful and relaxing.

sflake, good for you!! Exercise before work....you're my hero!! If only I could get myself motivated in the morning to work out.....it would sure get my day off to a great start.

Lizzie, "little charred bullets"! I love that description. I've been meaning to try that recipe also, even have a can of beans in my cabinet waiting for me, but I'm afraid that I won't be able to control myself, so I've been putting it off. One of these days.....

Deets, it sounds like you have a lovely day planned. Enjoy yourself!

Welcome highlysung!! Glad you joined us. Good luck with the sbd, I think you'll really like it. It's a great new way of life, and I'm so glad that I found it!

Hi Sil!!! It's nice to see you back, I've missed your posts! What are you painting, walls or pictures??

It's an absolutely gorgeous fall day today. The temps are supposed to get in the low 80's today (normal is upper 50s to low 60s for this time of year). I just took a nice long break (I'm at work) and went for a walk outside for about 20 minutes. Warm sun on my face, crunchy leaves under my feet, gentle breeze blowing my hair, and the smell of fall in the air. I just love how fall smells!
