Thinking of you all.

Well I did good/okay on the kiddos birthday but ended up overdoing it today. Tomorrow’s a new day and back at it. I got some new leggings and a new shirt today. Kids go to day camp for the first time tomorrow, so I will enjoy some time to myself!

Default July and Week 17 results

July and week 17 results
145.4 up 3 since yesterday oy!
1575 calories-- too many
Pickleball and gardening most of the day.

Well if I use yesterday's weight, I lost 5 pounds June 1 to June 30, but since today I gained 3 back, sadly it is 2 pounds.

As for the week, since I was too scared last week to weigh in, I'll say I actually gained 1.8 pounds since I weighed 143.6 at the end of week 15.
Averaged 1448 calories for the week. Can't lose weight with that.

This means I have been off track. Basically eating too much to lose weight.

Soooo- a new beginning and this will be a fun week (= a tough week for dieting) with traveling all sorts of food and drink temptations.

Want to get below 140 in July.

Ciecie- how are those power walks? I have this image of you power walking through a town that is like Mayberry.

Diana- thanks for starting a new thread. Nice calories!

Jen- How are you doing? Been doing some of those leg exercises.

Teri- How were the kids at the camp? It sounds like it was fun.

Rachel- let's lose this last amount!

Nancylmrn- 5 mile hike- nice! And way to go on your consistent work at the gym. Up for pushing it down this month?

Momwannabe- hang in there. It is tough to diet when your heart is hurting. Hope you find ways too to be kind to yourself.

JulesMarion- a new month and new opportunities to focus.

Grannynancy- I just wonder how you got that last bit off. Very impressed that you did that and kept it off.

Default Good morning

Momwannabe, I am so sorry your heart is hurting. That can be so rough Feel free to share and vent.

Zallie, well, here we go to try to lose the last amount. I actually did not lose anything this past month. I gained two pounds so I'm at 148. I have some work to do; some focusing to cultivate.

Goal for the month of July: 144. I think that's realistic if I buckle down.

Goals for today:
treadmill, some stretching, fiber, veggies, 1200 calories, 2 liters water.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Welcome back, everyone! It's good to see everyone checking-in.

Last night: Full Body Stretch and some stretches from Dr.
This morning: Oxycise

Calories for yesterday: 1240 +
Weigh In Saturday

Have a Blessed Day and a great start to your week!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters
July 1

Proverbs 2:10-11, 20
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

Knowing what is right and doing what is right are completely different matters. Jessica knew she should lose weight, and she knew the way to do that was to cut back on what she was eating. The problem was that she didn't want to give up any of the foods she loved. She just wasn't committed enough. A friend of hers told her that she had all the knowledge she needed in her head, but none of it was in her heart. The reason she couldn't stick to her diet was that she didn't want to lose weight badly enough. When we find ourselves lacking the proper desire, we need to turn to the Lord, to ask His strength for doing what we know to be right.

Today's thought: Dieting is more than a matter of the mind. It's a matter o f the heart!

Thanks for being kind, everyone. I'm way too old to be going through this silliness. Pffft.

Let's do July!

I wanted to mention that I have been trying to get an average step goal of 10,000 for the month. I was able to do this in June. Yesterday I was a bit short but last night I danced to make up the difference and to get to that goal. It wasn't much and it doesn't make a huge difference in life, but I'm glad I did it.

Good morning/early afternoon to some hehehe
Well as I suspected my scale gave me that one day ray of hope then went right back to being mean. 155.8 not sure what I can do to break this cycle/plateau. If my clothes were feeling lose then I would smile and keep going but this is not the case. so here is my daily grrrrrr
WO was fair today, got on the teadmill for the first time in two weeks but my heart was not in it and walked fast about 50% of the time. Free weight, well did my planks first instead of last today, then the usual for me. 5 upper body 5 lower body 10 reps each x2 ....Lower body weight 2 25lb weights, upper boday 2 10lb weights

Diana great job on the steps! It does feel good to meet a goal, I do the same thing when I am doing my cardio in the am....I set a goal and then push to meet the distance/steps whatever before my 30 min are up.

ok off to work for awhile then I will be back....famous last words right?

Default Hi All

656 cal today
On track
4 hours weeding and mulching and 3 hours pickleball

Saw a physical therapist for my elbow. Hadn't realized how much it hurt when I chop down against resistance. That is a good litmous test for if it is getting better.

Diana- fabulous on the steps! That is quite an accomplishment. It seems like you have also been sustaining that month to month. WTG!

Hi Everyone!

It's been a long day and I am just making my post for the day. I just had to leave home quickly and go back to the shop to help DH. There is something about his diabetes meds that cause a problem for him. It's like it builds up and he gets to where he can't think think clearly. Little tasks are a huge challenge for him and he has meltdowns. He has had one of those days today. They don't happen often (a couple times a year) but when they do they are a doozy. He went back to the shop to look at an A/C on a truck. He tried to set the alarm to leave but he did the wrong thing and it set the alarm off. Then he couldn't figure out how to turn it off. He called me and asked me to come turn the alarm off and get him out of the shop. I have been dealing with these issues all day and I was very frustrated. When I got there I was ready to let him have it because I was just so frustrated with him. But I saw the desperation in his face and felt really bad. We had a talk and he said he thinks he needs to make some changes to improve his health. I have heard this before. But I agreed and told him that I will support him any way I can.

Anyways, I also want to apologize for not being real chatty here. I seem to have so much going on these days and sometimes it's all I can do to get on here and make my post. If I don't talk much, know that I have good intentions but I probably have a lot going on.
