My posts will be a bit more wordy than statistical I think. Lets see.
I joined a gym before Christmas, and now i'm your regular gym-junkie and go pretty much every morning to do a strength or cardio class, then sometimes go back at night to do a yoga class. I'm really enjoying it, but my modest goal for the month will be to keep enjoying it. So maybe this will be a bit more monitoring and conscious review of how i'm feeling about it than trying to improve anything.
Target: Attend minimum 6x gym classes per week (if not travelling) and do it consciously so I continue to enjoy it
Feb 1: Spin class. 45min. 22.1km. 315kcal. This Friday morning class with Kristy teaching is the toughest class of the week, but also the one I come out of feeling the best. Today lived up to expectations! It's my ambition for the next few months to get fit enough to do the class the way she calls it (resistance and speed levels). Today was closer than previous, so must be getting a bit fitter
Thanks Gardner Joy, I'm in again this month I had a great January so I want to keep it going in Feb.
My goal is to workout at least 5 days a week for a least 30 mins.
Feb 1: Spin + yoga classes Feb 2: Strength 411 class - Done. The bodyweight exercises are feeling easy these days (pushups, planks etc), so i'm cranking up the free weights for the other exercises. 20kg kettlebell today for deadlifts, up from the usual 16kg, which was fine. This class is supposed to be 4x leg exercises, 1x arm exercise, 1x core exercise, rinse and repeat - hence the name. Probably more fun than hard work today, but that's my target!!

Went back to the gym for a pilates class after the strength class yesterday - it was the first time they've run a classroom pilates as normally it's just yoga or pilates reformer with the equipmnent (that you pay more for, and i'm too stingy to do that!). It was 'quite good'. I'll try it again but haven't quite made up my mind whether i'll be a regular for that one.
Today is a rest day. I"ve done heaps the past few weeks and feel like I need a break. My glutes and hammies are pretty stiff from yesterdays session though.
Hi Joy great to see you and please count me in! As always, thanks for running the thread for us. I really need to hold myself accountable here and am eager and happy to join in.
My goal is to exercise at least 3x a week! If I exceed that that is fine but I Must exercise 3x a week, regardless of minutes! My exercise will consist of WII, my exercise tapes, walking, weight lifting etc. I plan to be doing a lot of painting and odd and ends this month but that will just be gravy, I MUST do my official exercises!

Had the rest yesterday, but it definitely didn't make me feel all refreshed for today and i wasn't really in the mood to kill myself in spin. Anyway, did it, it's done.
