Went back to the gym for a yoga class too last night. It was just what i needed actually and felt much better afterwards. Strength Irn class this morning. Basically you have your own weights station with dumbells and kettlebells and a mat and do what you're told! Lots of lunges and pushups today. Felt strong

Spin this morning. 0545am class which is the earlier end of the spectrum but went hard and felt great. I'm definitely getting stronger too; what felt to be tough at 40% resistance a few weeks ago, now feels about the same at 50% resistance.

Met my weekly target of 6 gym visits per week already this week too, with 8 so far in 6 days

WEEK 1 = 10 Classes (target 6)

Core class this morning which is a circuit class with 12x exercises that you go round twice each. Probably the easiest class of the strength/cardio ones for me as it's mainly just bodyweight exercises which are a million times easier these days with 20kg off No gym tonight, i'm off to the movies, so that concludes my first 7 days of the month at 10x classes. Not bad!

WEEK 1 = 10 Classes (target 6)
Feb 8: Spin (Kristy)

Spin with Kristy this morning. My litmus test for fitness. It's my ambition in the next couple of months to be able to do the class as she calls it. When I started a couple of months ago I was nowhere near even being able to do a single track at the speed and resistance she said was minimum! The last couple of weeks I got to be able to do the warm up (3x tracks) lol, and today I did 30 out of 45 mins-worth of the full class. Kristy's idea of a 'recovery track' (i.e. taking it easy), is a constant pace of at least 110rpm at decent resistance (28%)....

Went out with the walking club i'm in on Saturday and had a good trek. 20 miles in 88F temperatures was a bit on the warm side though, but we finished up with a few beers afterwards! Rest day on Sunday and weights class this morning. Three classes so far in 4 days, but expecting to clock up a few more before Week 2 is done.

Ok, that's my 6 classes for Week 2 done
Barre this evening. Only the second time I've done this. It's the ballet-inspired core/strength exercises (just bodyweight). Phew. Who'd be a ballet dancer?! Tough on the quads and I trembled a bit down the stairs on the way out of the gym!
