HI ! I want to do this accountability this month. For the first time I have a mini goal-self Challenge. I'm 12 pounds from hitting onderland AND having lost 100 pounds. When I had the first idea for this (last night) I wanted to do it for my 43rd wedding anniversary on May 27th. Then felt 3 pounds a week is just pushing it too much. Then it came to me That June 9th will be the 9 month anniversary of the day I began my new weight loss journey. ( is my lucky number and 2 pounds a week isn't unreasonable. I'm going for the gold and gearing up food-exercise changes for It. will state that tomorrow .BTW very proud of self not giving in to DH's grilled steaks tonight. He hasn't grilled in months and chooses tonight- didn't even tell me or I'd have saved my chicken for tonight and had him grill it for me.

I got back on the losing weight mission a week and half ago and so far so good, ups and downs but I'm keeping it real and letting real life still happen so that's normal

I would love to join this thread to keep me accountable even on the days I go out for pizza or have a few beers after work.... this will be the place I come the day after to say I got back on track to 'normal'

Look forward to getting to know some of you, even though my time difference means I'm half a day ahead from most of you

Great work Larry!

Good to be here Diana, thanks

Bedtime here, Friday done and dusted and snackless Tomorrow's meals planned (busy day, but that's no longer an excuse!)

Hoping for good numbers tomorrow, hoping this will stop being so key on daily basis once this journey becomes normal

Happy May day to everyone.

Diana, thank you for the May thread. Time sure does pass quickly. I hope your day goes well. Soon weekend will be here. Cody, DH and you can hopefully have a good one,.

magistra I hope you got some good sleep. And are feeling refreshed.

Syckgirl one more year. So awesome. Time passes fast. Soon you will have your CPA. Yes? Its CPA?

Fluffy You sure have been through it. I am glad everything is slowly resolving. Sorry about all those medical apts.

Kelijpa. hummm gravel. Now that sounds like good exercise. Thanks for your words of encouragement. At this point I am wondering if I WILL lose.

CoolMom I hope apt with the doctor goes well today for DH. Still liking those donunt days. Give me a box of donuts and a certificate saying I will not gain after eating them....

FairyGaia welcome back. Congrats on that awesome weight loss. Wishing you great success with that goal. Grilled steak sounds so good. I have not eaten one in too many years to even count.

Mossy, yes you will make it out of these barracks one day. You are very dedicated and determined.

Larry yayyyyy re the 4 lb loss. And way to go with all that exercise. Great work !!

Stepbystep Great to meet you Glad you are here

Rachel2writer congratulations on that April weight loss !

I do not understand my body. It is not acting like the body I know. I am back up .6 lbs. That's after eating 850 calories yesterday. Its been acting like this for 6 days. Ever since that 1/2 day of binge last Friday. I am not sure what to do. I am accustomed to my body acting one way. And it is not doing that. I have tried everything I know. I figure it is either adrenals or thyroid. Both common culprits when this happens. But honestly,. I am at the highest I get with the thyroid meds. I just know the thyroid seems to have gone into hypo. Sorry for the complaining. Just made apt with naturopath, I hope. Apt might be canceled. Receptionist has to call naturopath to make sure she will be in the office when she has open time in schedule.

I hope everyone has a good Friday

flower it's actually my BS - you don't have to technically go to school for the CPA, but you have to have a bachelors degree to sit for it. Most people do buy study programs and tools and stuff, and then it's a few grand to take the tests. I'll think about that once my degree is in my hand I do have another degree, but it's just an associate's degree. Need the bachelor's to make better money! Next will probably be the CPA, unless I decide to get an MBA instead.

I just had to pay out of my pocket to register for summer quarter this morning...that's $2,000 I didn't need to put on a credit card! Summer quarter is different than the rest of the year because it isn't state funded. yuck.

B - trader joes high fiber cereal/coconut milk
S - apple / still have those 2 kiwis to eat as well!
L - organic baked potato with cottage cheese, organic fresh steamed green beans
D - not sure yet
EX - going to ride tonight at least 11 miles but maybe more.

last night we just walked 4 miles - it's been in the 90's here all week!

OK, Maybe 3rd times the charm-but 2 parting it this time. just lost long post to Y'all twice.
BTW Good Morning:

My May daily Plan:
1. NO TV while eating-eat mindfully
2. Prepare plate with at least 1/2 what usually have. ( My current food is more about what I don't eat: NO sugar-No Gluten- Red Meat only once a week- Raw Honey and stevia are my only sweeteners - as fresh as possible food )
3. 3x a day + 1 fruit if gardening all day.
4, Do aerobic DVD every other morning and yoga or Tai Chi on alternate days. I had gotten lax subbing in gardening- when my gardening is not aerobic.
5. drink 6 water bottles a day (had gotten lax with this as well.
