(great transformation btw)

Tidey !! a fantastic 12 weeks ! i'm really inspired by your dedication throughout the challenge you look wonderful !!!

okay folks, now i'm feeling MUCH better since i've given up the CKD insanity and have gone back to BFL-style eating. phew !! i'm also not bloating on a daily basis anymore; more of an indication that it's also hormonal since i was so PMS the weeks before. why was i blessed with such screwy hormones??

anyway........... i'm off to a spinning class soon. i'm only doing cardio this week. i have too many other things to do right now to concentrate on a new program. next week when we return i'll start a good BFL challenge again and i'm sure it'll be a great one after all the trial and errors of the past few months i feel that i'm standing on solid, common-sense ground now and will be able to take care of my body and health a whole lot better once again.

hope your Monday is wonderful !!

take care,

adriana

Default Good Monday Morning!

Good morning ladies! I just wanted to check in and say hello to everyone and to tell Tidey that you are looking good! Great job!
Today it is going to be warm and sunny and I am going to go enjoy it on my lunch and after work.
This morning I had a good shoulder/tricep workout and now I have the rest of the day to get my errands done. I have to attend a homebuyers class tonight that I am not too excited about (why couldn't we have done this on a cold day?) but will be glad to get it over with.
Have a great week ladies!

Default congratulations

Tidey - you had a great challenge! Yippee for staying the course.

I am starting week 3 of BRx. I feel like Rocky I, when he decided to get in shape. More and more of my meals are coming from a blender (no raw eggs yet). I just finished my chest and triceps workout. I would never have thought of this type of heavy routine but I can see the point now that I am trying it. It is kind of scary being in this bulking up phase, I am having to retrain my thinking on what is good for me now. I've decided to just enjoy all the food I am allowed now and not worry about it.

adrianna, you sound really good right now. Have a great time camping, that is one of my favorite things to do.

It is warm down here in the south. I spent Sun. kayaking - was great to get some cardio in but mostly just to soak up some rays and get a little color after a long winter indoors.

Tidey- congrats on finishing the challenge. The photos look great!

I have continued with the exercise but have eaten horrible. I started to day planning and eating in the BFL fashion. I went to work today (I work two days a week and in my stuido the other days) and went to a meeting. They were serving krispy kreme donuts. Before I knew it, I had eaten one. UGH. At least I stopped at one!.

Default Monday

Just a quicky before I run to the gym.

Congratulations Tidey!!! You pics looks great.

I've had the opposite experience with CKD from Adrianna- I love it. I've lost all my GetLean bloating, and only had minor bloat on carb-up day which got a little out of hand . As an added bonus, most of my hormonal problems have disappeared with the lack of carbs! My night sweats and hot flashes - only on Saturday when I was chock full of carbs. I love it!

Off to do legs,
mell

I just talked with a case manager at Epliepsy Services here in town. He told me he is leaving & asked me to apply for his position! I'm his first choice to replace him. I'm perfect for the job! I'm faxing an impressive cover letter and my resume to the Executive Director this afternoon.

I REALLY am perfect for this position. I've had epilepsy for years, got it under control and have been off all meds for over 2 years without a single problem. I've got lots of knowledge on the subject. With my positive experience and outlook, they'll jump at the chance to hire me!

I will get this job, I will get this job...

Deb

PS: I will be back later today.

Default I Love CKD

I'm having a wonderful time on CKD! Sunday 2 weeks ago I was 117, yesterday I was 114. I really find it a perfect way to eat everything I want to, and would hardly term something I'd only given a week to "insanity".

I'm splitting my workout up a bit this week; instead of LB and UB days, I did bis/tris yesterday, legs today and then back/chest/shoulders either tomorrow or more likely Wed. No cardio except the post-carbup session til at least next week.

Finally a warm sunny day here!

Well...Laura...YOU might be having a warm sunny day but here in the Bay Area it is still yukkypoo Rained all weekend. In fact I think we had a monsoon on Saturday! A bad day for horseback riding but a good day to carb load and watch our two kitties fight over which one gets the little faux-sheepskin mat next to the heater vent they're like two kids sometimes...

I also love CKD - it's just the thing for me at this point! I must admit that I was a bit weirded out by eating all that fat, but I'm used to it now...been making an egg recipe for breakfast that I found in the SP book (the first one - still waiting for the second from my library). It consists of two WHOLE eggs, cream cheese, a tablespoon of grated Parmesan, all cooked together. MMMM so tasty and it sticks with me! This week I have added flaxmeal (Bob's Red Mill brand) and added a spoonful to my egg mixture before cooking it. Just need that fiber ya know - keep things movin'

Speaking of lunch - gotta run and get my Tuna salad...laters y'all!
