Did you ask your coach?
Dairy is full of carbs (lactose is a sugar) and fat. The fat-free versions have MORE carbs.

Diary is just too high in carbs generally unless you go with whole milk which has a lot less carbs than non-fat milk. But IP is a low fat diet too, so that won't work on IP.

Wow! I never knew... I just checked my 2% organic milk and it's 12 carbs in a cup!!

Good think I haven't had any since starting IP - an ounce of milk is just pointless to me. Even if I add it to coffee, that's just not enough.

i am like you...i do not miss the junk foods or sweets....but missed cheese and milk, (i was a FULL glass or 2 drinker everyday before IP) so giving up milk has been extremely hard for me!!

early on, i started using veggie shreds...i was not super keen on them in the beginning...but now, have come to covet the limited use!! just 1 tbsp is often enough to satisfy my EYES...yes, my eyes....because i would want to SEE the cheese!!! and satisfy my tastes as well.

it counts as protein, and most coaches allow veggie cheese and there is shredded cheddar, mozzarella and mexican blend with spices.

as for the milk, almond milk has much less carbs...as does coconut milk....but you have to watch the fat in coconut milk.

hope that helps a little!!
