Unhappy Fell off the wagon....

Over the past week and a half I have completely fallen off the wagon with my diet. I still maintained my exercise routine though. I just feel gross some days. I've decided for lent I'm going to give up pasta and bread. I don't think it will be that hard because I haven't been eating it much lately, but I'm hoping it will give me a boost to start back up with losing weight. In April I have two weddings I have to attend, originally my goal was to lose 30lbs by then but that may be a little out of reach. I'm ready to stop feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. I always feel like the fat friend and I'm sick of always being alone. I don't want to be tiny skinny, I just want to be able to wear what I want and have more confidence. I'm just ready for a change but I don't want to let myself down for the thousandth time.

I have done this many times and the best thing to do is to remember you can get right back on!! As far as the pasta goes, I have trouble giving it up completely and I am actually going to buy some of the zero calories pasta today (if they have it at whole foods) it is called Nooodle. Also Shirataki pasta which is made of tofu is lower in calories. Simple carbs are my weakness as well. You will get there, I know the feeling of being the fat friend ("Big Tiffany")- no fun! But we will get there, leave the past in the past and do what you can to improve the future

Default me too...off the wagon!!!

same thing has happened to me. After 5 weeks of a fairly controlled diet and exercise....the past week was BAD!!! I got down with a bad cold and fever (ish), body ache etc etc and missed exercise for 3 days. Then came the weekend..and a party...
But went back to the gym today, cud not do my 100%, so am cursing myself for doing abt 85 - 90% of the workout tht i usually do. I think this is just gonna be anothe rone of those weeks where i am gonna have to push myself, drag myself to the gym, but hopefully i will manage it (fingers crossed)!!!

Today is Monday you can totally hop back on the wagon and end your week on a great note!

On a side note, I love spaghetti squash as a pasta substitute with Alfredo or Marinara.

Restarting as well.

And I love spaghetti squash! I put a little olive oil on mine with a ton of herbs and a little Parmesan cheese. I have it with grilled chicken and some various side veggies. My 18 month old daughter ate it up and DH really likes it as well.

I will say my palette doesn't like spaghetti squash as well with creamy sauces as I do oil or tomato based but plenty of others do so it's definitely worth trying.

For me it is a daily challenge to keep myself in check. I think we all do it at one point. The fact that you recognize it and are making yourself accountable is a great thing. Pick right back up where you left off and don't let it get you down.
Weightloss is HARD, but the end results are worth the battle.
Keep your head up!

Congrats on taking the first step! I think almost all of us on this board and have tried and failed - many of us too many times to count - the key is just not giving up. When you have a bad hour, bad day, bad week or bad month - just start over and keep trying. I've successfully lost 30+ lbs three times in the last decade, never been able to sustain it longer than 6 months...until this past year. Something clicked, I quit making excuses for myself and I just kept trying - so don't give up! Come here and post if you have a bad day because we've all been there and we'll all support you!
