Default Yoga

Hi All,
I have have some free passes to go with a friend to her yoga studio, which I did this week. While yoga balances me out emotionally, and feels refreshing, it doesn't seem like it's enough to provide a cardio workout for fat loss. What do you think? Do you do yoga in addition to cardio exercise? I didn't feel like I got much of a workout, though I was relaxed after and fell right asleep when I got home.

Thanks!

The yoga that I've done in the past would definitely not be considered cardio. It's relaxing and increases flexibility though, which is great! I run and do the elliptical 5x a week for cardio... my heart is pumping fast and sweat is pouring down.

I find the same, yoga isn't quite enough of a cardio workout for me. At my gym, I do an aquafit class, so water aerobics, which for me also isn't too much but my mom and I do it together, so one day a week, I go to aqua then go to the yoga class after and find it's a pretty complete workout. I still go 3-4 other days and do cardio in other ways.
