7 Years Today On The Atkins Way Of Life!
Its difficult to believe its been 7 years since I began doing Atkins! I can honestly say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. By now, at nearly 50 years old, if I hadn't changed my ways, I would surely be 300 lbs and diabetic. By the grace of God, I am neither Atkins has literally saved my life. When I made this decision 7 years ago, never did I dream I'd ever successfully lose weight and keep it off, but, thanks to Atkins, it became a reality.
For anyone out there considering Atkins, here's my best advice, do not listen to what others say regarding this way of life....buy the book, read the book, re-read the book! Then ask yourself if this is something you are willing to do for the rest of your life. To be successful, you must go into it with the correct knowledge & with the correct mindset. Don't dwell on what you can't have but, rather on what you can have. How many eating plans do you know of that permit real butter, real mayo, real cheese and heavy cream! And should you ever have any doubt this is going to work, I am living proof it works! Read the book and do it CORRECTLY, it works! If I can do it, so can you!

I'm so happy for you, JerseyGyrl. We have something in common: your Atkins anniversary is my birthday. Congrats to both of us. I'm so proud of your success. I was debating cake & ice cream today, but after reading your post (and a 2-lb loss) I'm going to stick to Induction.
YAY Jersey Girl - I've seen you around these forums for awhile, and you are a great support to others as well as a diet success. Keep up the great work - and live long and prosper!
