Default Shopping List

I think we should start a shopping list for calorie counters.

I'm gonna start with cucumbers! Yummy and low cal!

Acorn squash. Cut it in quarters and scoop out the seeds, then brush with a little olive oil and sprinkle with sea/kosher salt. Roast in the oven until done, then eat the flesh out of the shell with a spoon. One of my favorite vegetables.

I've been trying to mix up my fruit purchases. I love apples, bananas, and clementines, but I"m getting sick of them. My list lately has included kiwi, pineapple, and blueberries. Yum.

Nature's Own Whole Wheat Bread. It's not "diet" bread so it's not super skinny, small slices. Could 2 better on fiber, 2 g per slice. But only 50 calories a slice!

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

Ingredients for fresh salsa. Tomatoes, jalapeno, cilantro, limes, onion, garlic, chiles. I have it on thinly sliced cucumbers. Delicious.

BacOs, that salsa sounds delish!!

I'm big into blueberries right now, no clue why, but I like to add them into a cup of FF Vanilla Yogurt by Dannon or in cottage cheese.

Also tilapia is a new fav!! Mis it up with some cucumber dill sauce is yummy!!

Another great thing for those on the go is Birds Eye Steamers ... a bag of veggies that you can throw in your micro and voila, ready in minutes! I usually like to sprinkle a little bit of garlic seasoning for flavor!

I have one in my fridge now.

Good work!

I actually eat the Sara Lee 100% Whole Wheat with Honey. It's 45 calories per slice and a good tasting bread.

I love that Select Harvest Light soup line! Yum!

Sweet Potatoes! They are my go-to food, because they are so filling and easy to pair up with any type of protein.

One of my best go to meals is pork tenderloins and a baked sweet potato. I can eat it for like 300 cals. And it's delicious.

As a matter of fact, I crave it right now! lol

I'll have to try a baked sweet potato. Instead of yoplait, I like to go for the light and fit yogurt. Only 80 calories!
