Default Shopping List for Medifast?

As a newbie, I've cleaned out my cupboards in anticipation of my "box" of food. But, does anyone have a good list of food and condiments I should buy at the market that will be good as staples? Thanks!

Hey, I'm so new to this, I have no idea! You should log into the mymedifast site - they have an entire list of condiments that you can use with the plan. Let me know if you have trouble logging in!

Maya is right, go to the medifast website, and they have a list of condiments. Pick your favorites! They also have a bunch of medifast recipes which are sinfully scrumptious. Er, or at least they are scrumptious to those of us who have been having nothing but Medifast for over a month, LOL.

You will also need some Pam original, possibly some Molly McButter.

In general, you will need some crystal lite, some bottled water (or a big water bottle), and your favorite spices. I add olive oil or flax seed oil every day to protect my gall bladder. The spices I use every day are basil, oregano, and cinnamon, but there are lots of others. Buy some splenda and some good vanilla. Try to find some Davinci sugar free syrups for coffee, like vanilla flavor, and, if your store has it, spring for some Walden Farms sugar free fake maple syrup or some other sugar free fake maple syrup. I like tabasco sauce. Be ready with some already made chilled sugar free jello in half cups and Better than Boullion in a jar. Maybe go nuts and throw in some celery. Definitely pick up some I can't believe its not butter and a spray salad dressing.

I found that the crackers, crisps, and bars are so delicious that I cannot have them in my house, so I am not ordering those.

In your first order, get at least one box of oatmeal and some pudding so that you can make a few recipes and try them out. I would also suggest getting one case of RTD in chocolate so that you can easily take them with you.

Everyone swears by the magic bullet, but I don't have one.

I would not waste money on the "Secret is Out" as I did.

Please post again and let us know about your progress. But definitely follow Maya's advice and check out the mymedifast website for lots of details on condiments and everything else.

Thank you. I printed out your suggestions. I did poke around on the medifast site. I guess it will take a while to go through everything. I forget what parts of the boards I've been to or not!

I would just add Galeo's salad dressing.. either the regular or dijonaisse... you probably have to order it online since they aren't in many markets.

I never, EVER liked any bottled dressings until Galeo's... I love them!!!

Ditto all of the above suggestions, too.

Hi there. Did you get your product yet? There is a quickstart guide that comes along with your order and has the food lists right in there. I cut them out and take them to the grocery store with me. You will usually get a quickstart guide with every order. You can phone the 1800 number and they will send you an extra one. Good luck!
