Hi! I am new to this forum too, and like you, I am very into healthy-eating, exercise, etc. However, I have had episodes of binging since I was very young (12?).
I am on weight watchers now, and the great thing about that plan is that you have all these 'extra' points and they really tell you to use them on things you can't live without (ie. reese's pb cups for me!). Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that 'normal' eaters allow themselves a treat every now and then. They eat it, they enjoy it, and they move on.
I need to stop looking at food as 'good' or 'bad'---that means I'm giving the food way too much power! So yeah, I restrict a lot too, and I think the main thing is to learn moderation in all things----easier said than done
