Default New here!!

Hey everyone! My name is Amanda and obviously, I'm new here. I'm 25 years old and though I'm new here, I'm not a stranger to trying to lose weight. Ive been heavy my whole life and I always feel like Ive been on some kind of diet. My highest weight I think would be 244 and that was maybe in 2007. Ive had 3 children so that hasnt made any of this easier. Id lose some weight, be pregnant and then have to start over. lol
So now my youngest is 10 months. My oldest is 5. I want to live a long, healthy life so I can watch them grow. I want to be a good role model for them. And I want to be able to keep up with them without running out of breath during the simpliest activity. So I hope to meet some new friends here. Sometimes being the only one in my family or the only one in my circle of friends trying to lose weight gets lonely.

Hey there, and from another Amanda!

We have a TON of areas you may want to check out...forums by eating plan (Calorie Counters, South Beach, Whole Foods, etc...you don't mention a specific plan, so you might want to look around and see what looks good, or find the forum that best fits with your plan) and by age range (you'd be a perfect fit in the 20-somethings). We also have miscellaneous challenges and forums with recipes, budget ideas, exercise support...it can be big and overwhelming at first, but it also ensures everyone has a place (or many) that's a perfect fit.

So look around, jump on in, and get to posting. I can't wait to get to know you better!

Hi, and welcome!
I love your story because it is very similar to mine. I basically started my new lifestyle due to my daughter. She is my never ending inspiration.
Calorie counting has changed my life. You might want to look into it

Good luck on your weight loss journey!
