Default The Sit-Down Bulge

Does it ever go away?? lol

I'm sure all of us have or have had this. You can stand up and feel thin and great (sometimes) but when I sit down, bam, there's that bulge. Is it all fat, or do some organs help to make up that bulge? I'm sure that no matter how thin you get, you could probably still bend over and grab a pinch of fat (or can you?), but do you always get that bulge, even when you're sitting up straight, no matter your weight?

I don't have the bulge, but I had just a bit of that at 129. I think it depends on weight, genetics, whether you've had children, how much your skin has stretched from weight loss, your body composition, and so on.

Or, no. I used to be able to bend over and pinch a little fat, but I never had the bulge when sitting up straight. But I do believe all of the above is true when it comes to that. For me, it's genetics, body composition, never having had children, and never having been overweight that make it so I never developed a little tummy bulge.

Many women have that naturally, even if they are thin and fit. It's normal to be a little convex there.

My state patrol, swat sniper son, who is in great shape, has a little pooch when he sits and slouches.

You're shoving stuff into a smaller place, no worries!

My sister, who has been "skinny" all of her life, has it.

You might not have a "bulge" but everyone has folds of skin when they sit and or are crouched over somewhat. Seriously, you're bending over! Of course there will be tissue there! Anyone who says they don't have anything there is lying. Like I said, you don't have to have a "bulge" but everyone has skin that bunches there when they are in that position. Even super thin super models have skin wrinkles there when they're in bikinis posing in such position. Obviously, the less fat and loose skin you have, the less quantity of tissue you'll have gather in that area.

Oh and just to add.. We probably need to "define" how straight-up someone is sitting. I guess if you're not slouched, then yes, very possible you don't have anything there because you're not hunched over. I'm referring to being very relaxed in sitting and somewhat slouched.. In which case, everyone is going to have tissue there, be it fat or skin wrinkles.

I'm fat. I have bulges. This is just another one. I had it when I was substantially thinner too. Put on a spanx shaper to help hold it in if it's something that really bugs you.

Fat or thin, we are made from flesh - not carved from stone.
