Default I have thrown out my 'fat' pants!

...... But not because they are to big, nor were they actually pants. I was just folding my laundry and came across my size 20 shorts from this past summer, and the summer before. Well I am bound and determind to NOT be a size 20 again next summer, so out went ALL of my shorts that fit this summer!

Awesome! I'm trying to pawn mine off on my slightly bigger friends. Not having them to fall back on is a pretty good incentive to stay a manageable size.

Awesome!! I think it's a tangible way to express your commitment to yourself! I may just do that, too!

There's something cleansing about it. I've kept a pair from when I was my largest. I have to grin when I place a current pair over it and see how much I really have shrunk.

I have kept a single pair of my biggest jeans - but everything else went out as soon as I shrank out of it.

I was forced to buy a year's worth of clothing in advance last month (as I'm spending a year in a country that doesn't sell pants my length) and for jeans I bought one 16, one 14, one 12, and one 10!

I just couldn't bring myself to buy all 16s. I will lose weight this year, or else!

I am doing the same thing with my jeans and tops as soon as I shrink out of them. The tops hang around a lil longer, but the pants go as soon as I have a droopy butt and front. I donate them. I can't bring myself to throw them away if someone can use them. Because I am not going back. This will be the last time for this journey and I am doing it as healthy/smart as I can hehehe

I am anxious to be a true size smaller! My pantS are pretty loose, but the next size down doesn't fit universally yet. I can wear some i try on at stores but not others. But my cloths are getting pretty baggy. I think I could see a true size smaller in another five pounds. What a motivating and scary thing it must be to purge the closet of these cloths! Wonderful in that you are telling yourself "never again" I won't need these. Scary in that you won't have them "just in case". But liberation because your saying "I need no 'just in case'. There will be no such case!"

Awesome! That is SUCH a big mental motivator!

I threw out all of my heaviest weight clothes a year ago. Considering I was still wearing the same maternity clothes I wore while pregnant with my son a year AFTER I had my daughter... it was easy to say goodbye. They were so stretched out and ragged, but fit. Then this past spring I threw out all but one pair of my size 12 and higher pants. When my weight went back up and I no longer had pants that fit, that only gave me one option: LOSE. I REFUSED to buy bigger pants.

I'm very happy for you!

That's great . I actually did the same thing this past week. Three times now, I have had to donate all my larger clothes. It is a great feeling. The final commitment was to get my weddings resized. I went from a 9.5 to a solid 7. I pick them up next week No going back now. Let's all celebrate our success
