Exclamation STUDIES In BALONEY 101

Well TEAM I figured it was time for a new BOLOGNA THREAD with the new school year starting. So many of you in school, teaching or learning new careers

Not teaching this old guy anything though

And even if you could I wouldn't remember!

With the economy (and my 5 pound weight loss guarantee) in dire straits the time has come for new knowledge on our baloney dilemma....

time to learn a thing or 2 on how to take the baloney out to the dumpster!

Our TEAM will teach and get schooled on balony as we head toward the holiday season

We will learn how to beat balony ~ judge our balogna ~ socialize with our baloney ~ re-locate our baloney ~ stretch it ~ lie about it ~ and even wave bye-bye to some of it

So let's hit the books TEAM and get started

The bells are ringing

We are currently accepting all new students

Well TEAM Happy Labor Day

I am semi-happy to report in at 189 for the 5th out of the last 6 days

Obviously that is not where I want to be but it is good to finally being out of the stinkin' 90's....how in the heck did I get back in there anyway?

pure baloney is what it is

We had our Labor Day BBQ on Saturday with 25 friends and family. The menu was pretty safe...Angie and I grilled chicken to put on nice rolls with honey mustard dressing/guacamole/cheddar cheese/tomato/red onion and lettuce. The rest of the family brought sides of watermelon, potato salads, veggie platters and chips and dip. I was good on the eating and extra good on the beer drinking

Obviously why I am in the high '80's now.....

MINDY ~ I can understand you being apprehensive about your ex leaving but it could be the chance for you to turn a new exciting corner in your life....freedom from the past can be a good thing in many ways.

SUPER J ~ Sorry about the BF...my brother had that issue...opposite of course...many years ago, his girlfriend left him for another woman...not so shocking nowadays but it sure was back then...the 2 girls have been together for over 15 years now. good luck in the new journey and great to see you back!

BRAT ~ great job on sticking with the walking Sorry about that school mess Hope you had a great time with your friend.

ELANAROSE ~ My wife loves the Say Yes to The Dress show....cool for you and your mom's wedding dress Looking forward to seeing you here on week-ends when you get time...I hope you are way to busy to visit during the week!!! Have a great year in school...cross-country this year?

MRSAUGIE ~ good to see you here, hope you can catch your breath with your little guy in school.

TOOBIG ~ Continuing prayers for your fil

ANNE ~ Great idea on getting back to basics with the food log and weight chart.

JEN ~ How are you doing? Morning sickness? My dil is really going through that right now

Have a great week TEAM...I will check in often but still driving 200+ miles round trip each day and working my 8 so these old posting fingers get tired

Thanks for keeping us rocking and rolling

Well team.. here starts a new thread!

Jeannette-Sorry about the man troubles but at least now you know! Just keep at it..

EZMONEY-congrats on getting out the 190s!

I walked 3 more miles today. Tonight will be a late night for me doing homework since I procrastinated and wanted to spend time with the hubby since he actually had the holiday off work. It's rare he has two days off. I'm tired now and he's in bed snoozing to prepare to go back to work tomorrow and I'm having to stay up to do homework. It was worth it though and we had a good weekend. He put up our kitchen cabinet knobs and the kitchen sure looks different with that small change. Have a good night!

I need to vent - I apologize in advance.

I am fighting a bad case of the bloats. DH won a trip to the Gorge in George to see The Dave Matthews Band. It's a 3+ hour drive and the wine group that sponsored it took us all (DH, chosen coworkers and their SOs) on two party buses. We departed at 2pm. I brought some hard boiled eggs so I avoided the worst of the snack crap on the way there - I only succumbed to a few chips and a little beef jerky - and drank red wine along with my water. I knew I'd be drinking going in, so that was no surprise. I think I'm the only one who didn't get drunk, though. Anyway, tailgating dinner before the concert - I avoided all the truly heinous stuff and mostly stuck with shrimp and 2 roll-ups in tortillas (slices, like at Costco?) and one wedge of a beef/cheese/croissant thing. Not all that much food.

Then the several-hour concert which was awesome (we had VIP seats, 20th row, dead center) except for the couple next to us - he was drunk, and jealous 'cause his gal talked to another man and he spent the entire concert verbally abusing her. God that sucked in every way possible.

So... concert ends, we all pile on the bus (nearly everyone else was pretty plowed, ugh) and we head out for the three+ hour drive back top Seattle... and our bus breaks down. Right at the top of the pass. We all pile onto the other bus, which now is crammed to the gills with drunk people, to the point of sitting on the floor. DH and most of his coworkers all had to be in their first accounts early on Monday morning (no holidays when you are a sales rep), so they are all drunk, exhausted, trying to sleep crammed into this party bus (without a bathroom!). Of course, someone had to get sick... oh gawd, that was a **** ride. We finally got back home at 4:30 am... which is when DH's alarm usually goes off. He was one hurting unit yesterday - I got some sleep so was a bit better off.

Well, what I didn't mention was that it was my TOM during this, I was bloated to begin with, but the snacks/food/etc. I blew up like a balloon. My feet swelled up between my sandal straps. I feel like crap from eating off plan. I'm not hung over from the wine (didn't get drunk) but from the carbs.

We both wish we hadn't gone - the concert was great but we're both too old for this s&#*t.

There - I vented, and almost feel a bit better now. Thanks.

It's good to be back guys! Mtiger, I know how living with the ex is. I lived with Cella's dad for a long time after he broke up with me. It will b e better for you and him if he leaves. Plus NC is really nice!

Thanks for the welcome backs and stuff. I have a dr appointment Friday so I'll see what I weigh. PLEASE nowhere over 200 but I do feel like I'm at 220 or so.

Good news, with all my poorness I won't be able to eat junk much. I eat a lot of PB&J nowadays!

Come one guys, we can do it!

HI TEAM ~

Well I was up to 191.0 this morning and I have no freakin' idea (baloney) why

I'd like to say it was the labor day week-end beer...the nachos for breakfast...twice....or the unguarded bag of kettle chips...

but I can't I just can't

Denial is a beautiful thing

Maybe I can take a pound down at work this week.

MINDY ~Glad school went well...Angie has started week 2 and my son and dil have started week 2 also but last week was a 2-day-er

SUPER J ~ Here's hoping new found $$$ and better choices available

ROBIN ~ The Gorge can be pretty....traveled through a few times when Angie and I built a house in Kennewick about 5 years ago...sounds like one bus ride I wouldn't want to be on!

BRAT ~ on the walks and homework!

Be good TEAM
