I'm new here. I'm almost 25 and I've been overweight since I was a pre-teen. I've tried dieting before but never seriously. I just joined weight watchers a little over a week ago. This time feels different, I feel like maybe I can really do it this time. I had my first weigh in yesterday and I was down 5.8lbs. My starting weight was 362lbs so I have a very long road ahead of me. I have a few mini goals in mine, the first is to follow the program for 1 month and then 16 weeks. I also would love to get under 300lbs. I basically joined here to get ideas and support from others.
Welcome! This is a good place for support and info. There are forums for all different plans and ways of eating, and I think there is one for WW too. Good luck on your journey! You can do it!
Welcome to the site!!! You'll find a lot of support and encouragement here...it sure makes it easier to make it through. My starting weight wasn't too far below yours. I started Southbeach in April and, to date, I've lost 58 pounds which not only puts me under 300 but a good 12 pounds under!!! It CAN be done and you can do it!!! Good luck...looking forward to seeing your progress!!!
Hi Casey! Welcome to the board! I just joined too (even though I've been reading the board for a while now). I'm 25 too and in the 300's. It's a tough road, but you can do it! Let me know if you need any encouragement- I'm rooting for you!
