Default New and would like some feedback! :)

Hello everyone! My name is Rachael and I'm 17 years old. I've been overweight as long as I can remember from Elementary school and I wanna lose it the pounds!

I'm a borderline diabetic, anemic, and have PCOS.

I'm having trouble to keeping myself motivated. My family has a very low income, so that means no gym passes or exercise equipment.

We do buy healthy and junkie food. I'm very tempted to eat junk foods while they're here. But I also crave a lot of fruit/juices.

Both my parents are overweight. Sadly, my dad doesn't want to lose weight and would (honestly) rather die with a heart attack then to get lap band done or to stop eating the sweets. Although, I do thank god that he actually has no health problems (diabetic, high blood pressure, etc.) except joint problems.

My mom, she's a diabetic. She can't walk much, so it's not like me and here can walk around the block together. She wants to get lap band done.

I, myself, am thinking about getting lap band with her. It would be covered by our insurance. Me and her are both going to a seminar this Saturday.

Although, I know you need to start a plan so you'll have a routine before and after surgery, but I'm not sure how to do it, also for my mother. Since I have PCOS, it's harder to take the pounds off and I'm not sure how or what to do. I'm honestly not doing much moving around except going to places. How can I start off?

Sorry for the long introduction. Nice to meet all of you and I hope I can lose it!

Well, I would suggest getting a workout video for exercise or just walking around your neighborhood. The videos can be cheap and you can put it in your computer and watch it from the screen there. Get a beginner one. Not eating junk food will have to be will power. Set little goals for yourself each day and write it down. Like

Monday- Don't eat junk food
Tuesday- Don't drink soda/ just water
etc.

Something like that might help you. Having small daily goals to achieve.
